Did perfect games change? I thought perfect game was 9 innings with no opposing player getting on in any way (27 BF).

It was a joke based on how bad we have been in those two categories this year.

We threw our strike-throwers today - 109 pitches, 80 strikes, no walks, no HBP, 2 runs on 6 hits.
A walk in the Park.

So, do we suck at hitting and pitching still....? To most here on this board… yes. Before anybody gets too upset, I was only kidding. I love baseball, and I've seen so much of it that worrying about how we look 20 games in is something I just don't do. Some of these kids that pitch will get better in the next 30 games, and that will help, but all I really see is a talented team that will be fun to watch and will have a very successful season.

First time since the Bakersfield game. Do you have an easy way to figure out the last time we got 27 outs in less than 109 pitches? Oregon State only 102 pitches against Michigan, but that was a seven-inning game. Oregon State threw 104 pitches again Stanford last year but only 24 outs in the 5-4 collapse. The last time that Oregon State got 27 outs with fewer than 109 pitches was on March 4, 2023. Jaren Hunter got threw 8.2 on 91 pitches, and Brown came in to strike out the final batter on five pitches. 96 pitches total. It should be pointed out that the Cal Poly, Stanford, and Washington games all involved Hunter. It took Kmatz 83 pitches to go six and Hunter 26 pitches to finish the final three. When Hunter is on, he is a devastatingly efficient pitcher.
