Not a well coached 2nd half! Beavs played hard, but too tired to play only 7, and 2 of them for super limited minutes! What was SR thinking? We will never know!

Great defense doesn't always win. You just have to make open looks. That's the difference between Oregon State and Stanford. Frankly, in a sense it's the difference between Rueck and VanDerveer. Stanford can do both at a very good level. OSU can do one at a very high level and is way more spotty with the other.

Stanford hit shots that OSU didn't. The double OT may have been a factor, but Stanford played well and has excellent talent and coaching.
In the end, it may not be a bad thing to exit at this game, as another game with that much fatigue is asking for injuries.

Rueck played the exhausted group that played the double overtime game. The major thing about this team is it's depth, and he ignored it completely. Sometimes I really scratch my head about his decisions.

Hard to beat the better teams shooting the ball like tonight. When they shoot Decently they have shown the win is attainable.

33 points over the last 3 qtrs, 12/46 isn't winning many games. The Beav offense will be the limiting factor in how far this team goes post season. They’ve got the ability to throttle down the opposing team’s scoring, but too often just don’t shoot the ball very well.

They lost, so that's the way it is.
But, where were the 4-5 obvious calls against Beers?! If anything, you would think the refs would be looking out for her after the horrible foul that broke her nose.
Guess not.

One thing to consider is how young the Beavs are compared to the dominant players of stanford. Give SR another year with this group and another year of development and hopefully those scoring droughts will disappear. Another recruiting class is coming in to compliment the vetrans.

I thought shot to face was reviewable, but guess not!

Jump went off for 20. In the previous games she was a non-factor. Just something else to consider.

My issue isn't that some shots just don't go down against decent defense, it's that there's so many, and I mean sooo many, misses on open looks. Why? That's the question. It's not as if the Beavers are void of players who can shoot from the perimeter. On the contrary, there's TVO, there's Timea, there's Lily, there's Hunter, there's AJ, there's Lily, there's Adlee. Even Rees. Pretty much everyone on the roster scored at a good clip in high school as well. Where's the consistent midrange game? Where's the consistent No. 2 and even No. 3 scorer? Why isn't Hunter and Paurova's ability to attack the basket utilized more often? It's too bad because this team is very, very good but it could be great.

If anything, you would think the refs would be looking out for her after the horrible foul that broke her nose. Guess not. WTF? Refs are horrible in many cases, but as Don's dad said they aren't one sided. Beers got more "beneficial" calls than ever. OSU's bigs shot 5x the FTAs than Brink + Iriafen (1/2 total). OSU lost because Stanford was the better team. Tara said "beat us with jumpers" and OSU couldn't. Brink & Iriafen were 14/36 from the field and still had the depth to win. Jump, scoreless vs Cal had 20 tonight. TVO was lost and Scott didn't change assignments until too late. Demetre also with 10 huge 2nd half points. Stanford has been here done that so many times. OSU not so much. They never changed emotion down double digits. They just know how to stay focused and stick to a game plan. OSU is the 3rd (tied in regular and with loser of the next game) best team in the best conference. That's something.
