Through 26 games played
3PTS 36/71. 50.7%. I think that’s becoming a representative sample set.
And that represents a major weapon. And with her length and agility, she is also formidable on D

I am really impressed with her passing ability as well. She is becoming an outstanding passer to the posts and cutters to the basket. I love the way she uses the bounce pass, often overlooked in today's game.

Count me among those who are totally impressed with Lily's year-to-year improvement. Indeed, I think she has shown considerable improvement in her game since December of this season.
On the topic of improvement: Dom P. is also seems to be on an upward trajectory, progressively improving in almost every phase of her game. Right now she kinda outruns herself (races into trouble), but when she gets her body and the ball moving at the same speed at the same time in the same direction, I think she could be the best at attacking the basket in an OSU uniform since Pivec. GO BEAVS!!

I love the way she uses the bounce pass, often overlooked in today's game. Her inbounds pass to TVO for the UCLA game-winner was perfection, including a sharp fake to TG and then instant recognition of Talia’s pop and perfect delivery for her catch-turn-and-shoot 3. She made it look easy and inevitable.

She looked like that type of shooter coming in from HS, and it's so great to see that realized. It doesn't always translate to the next level. USC was able to speed her up just slightly to keep her shots from falling at well below her normal rate. Her length and release quickness makes her really tough to account for.
She's also made teams pay for her backdoor cuts and ability to finish at the rim. She's developing into a player that draws a lot of defensive attention. Shooters that are that accurate and have that kind of range really stretch the defense. The one thing that USC did was really extend the defense. The middle of the court was wide open and TvO made them pay by sometimes simply passing to wide open spots in the middle. Unfortunately we didn't do that often enough. No way USC could have done that with Beers playing though, she would have had a >20/20 game.
Lily has also developed into a player that is able to use her length to be a problem on defense.
I thought we'd see this develpoment from Adlee before Lily. Adlee probably still has the quicker release and ability to shoot from more angles, but Rueck's offensive style favors Lily's game for most opponents.

Equally super impressed with her shooting and passing. Defense improving, Hope she is as hot tomorrow, Being left handed she doesn't need to square up her shoulders as much as a right hander does.

Lily "The dagger" Hansford. I expect her to be nothing but more dangerous the next couple years.

Watching Lily (slow motion playback) you really appreciate her intelligence and natural feel for the game in everything she does. Lily's 1v1 defense has improved immensely from last season. Lily's length often keeps a perimeter offensive player from even taking a shot. But mostly I appreciate her intelligence. Lily has great basketball instincts.

Just caution yourselves. I hope she continues this trend. But, the exact same thing happened about the exact same time last season.
That player rarely sees the floor now.
At least this involves a much more meaningful contribution in terms of how the season is going.

Wasn't really speaking to the players themselves. More the hype over short-term/limited time production then wondering why they don't play. Lily is by far the more complete player.

We must be ever vigilant. Sincerely, thanks for the laugh.

She totally reminds me of Katie McWilliams. Deceptively long, good shooter but not a scorer. Great D.
