I lost track of the post that asked "Where's Blacklock?" Good question. She is a bit of a dilemma for SR because she does have offensive fire power, but apparently struggles on the defensive end of the court. BUT, Rueck also has Lily H. as a first line sub, and she delivered an impressive game last night...And he also has Dom P. who is looking more and more like the real deal. This is off topic, but I have been wondering for a few weeks now if we might lose Adlee to the portal. Shooters gotta shoot, and to do that they gotta have floor time. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Baylor, Texas Tech - or someone in that ball park - is floating overtures in her direction. GO BEAVS!! I wonder things like this as well regarding players going into the portal. No Power 5 conference next 2 years, NIL, playing time or whatever. For what it's worth, Adlee was on the pre-game show last night with Ron and reiterated how much she loves the players and coaches on this team and said there is no other team she would rather play on. I can't remember the exact question that solisitated the response but it was not a direct question regarding her playing time or personal status on the team, just a general response to how close everyone is on the team.

WSU is a bubble team, at least per ESPN’s last projections. I’m not sure why anyone is downplaying a comfortable road win over a very motivated and dangerous team. They did exactly what you’d hope for, fight through adversity and taking control of the game with really solid execution in Q4 where they looked like the clearly better team. Stanford just has the reverse happen to them at home.. No matter what ESPN or the screen said WSU is not a bubble team. They are 5-10, in 9th place. With Oregon, @ Utah, @ Colorado most likely they finish 17-14/6-12. They were an NCAA team early on until losing LW. As is the format for projections, teams firmly "in" slowly fall down the "list" as losses mount. Last night was a business-like win. With LW playing a great road win. But, WSU is a shell of their former "self" without her despite how hard they played.

Already 5-10 in conference and finish the season at the Mountain schools. But, they are a dangerous enough team that beating them on the road is a solid victory.

Watching both teams without their stars makes me appreciate OSU’s depth a bit more. They really weren’t even having all that great of a year before CLW went down (losses to Cal and UW) so it’s not a surprise to see them struggling. Leger-Walker returning would boost the WCC next year.

About the only way Adlee gets more minutes is if Lily (fellow sophomore) or Dom (freshman) don't. The way she's developed, I can only see Lily getting more minutes, not fewer. And Dom, to me, looks like the better prospect. Talia and AJ each have one more year, so if Adlee were waiting for her 'turn', she'd have to wait for her senior year. Will she do that, or will she look for a school with a need she can fill? Damned if I know, but I'd support her and understand her decision if she chose the latter. But, and I'm sure Adlee would agree, let's not deal with that until this ride comes to an end.

It’s too bad we can’t finish the season before worrying about who will be on the roster next year.

Thinking about and worrying about are two different things. Any fan with a dexterous mind can be engrossed in this year, and at the same time think about next year. Take Coach Rueck, for example. He's been into serious calculations about next year for some time now. GO BEAVS!!

He's got staff that deal with ops, development, recruiting. Scott and bench coaches are all about the next game. Coaches don't freaking worry about making players happy. Ig they are unhappy and think somewhere else is better he'll certainly have a conversation after the last game during exit interviews. But, in no way is he "worried" about player attrition right now.

Scoreless in 10/15) for 17-11, 8-8 Michigan? That Greta Kampschroeder? I hope she's happy with her new home and I wish her the best. I think Scott's toes are just fine.

Rueck had no clue that Greta Kamp. was going to leave until the last game....when she no longer started. I really doubt that too many of us are privy to insider information on who's thinking what and when. If anybody did, we'd know when Raegan is next going to play. But there are now two annual cycles for college teams - seniors leave, freshmen arrive; disgruntled players leave for other teams, other teams' disgruntled players arrive. Both happen after the season ends. I would imagine that Scott compartmentalizes things, dealing with the playing season in its time frame, and then the portaling season in its. If he were coaching games while fretting over who might be looking to leave, he wouldn't be doing the coaching part correctly, would he? But I'll say one thing about the year Greta et al opted to transfer. Looking back, that whole team rarely looked happy, like they were enjoying what they were doing. Now I'm the one speculating, but perhaps there were one or two 'bad apples' in there spreading negativity throughout the year. I have nothing to back that up; just a feeling. This year's team seems to be embracing the entire experience and having the time of their young lives - which is what's supposed to happen in college. Perhaps some will choose to leave, but I think they'll be truly sorry to leave their OSU days behind. Greta, on the other hand? You would not have wanted to be standing in front of the locker room door minutes after the last game, as she'd run you over on her way out of town.

No need to pollute a game thread with your dexterity.
