For the love of the game - the geography of the two Regional sites really ought to be a factor. Support the teams and support the fans by encouraging as much attendance as possible.
Per normal protocol, I take the leap to by Sweet 16 tickets and now our buddy Charlie is getting fancy with Beavers in NY. Good thing he's not in charge, or even on the committee.
GO BEAVS!

I get the frustration, but as my son says... we're going to see great ball and it is not often you get S16, E8 games in your own backyard with tix this cheap. If OSU is placed in PDX great. But, realistically there is only (4) of each seed so there is only a 50% chance of it happening. Hence my ticket purchase was never going to be based on IF OSU was going to play there. If I want to make sure of that, buy tix at Gill when it's announced we host. Which, to me is a 99% sure thing unless this team loses 3 or more of it's remaining games. That is not going to happen.

Never take the site placement seriously in any bracket prediction. Ever.

It would be stupid if the Beavs aren't in the PDX regional

I just don't want to be sitting in Moda while the Beavs are playing live on TV back east.

Not much evidence to go on with the new two regional setup, but last year:
Seattle: Stanford #1 (1-1), Colorado #6 (2-1), USC #8 (0-1)... Zags #9 (0-1)
Greenville: UCLA #4 (2-1), WSU #5 (0-1), Zona #7 (1-1), Utah #2 (2-1)
So, if Stanford gets a #1 or #2 and is PDX, I doubt a #3 or #4 seed OSU is also placed in the PDX region. If OSU is somehow the 3rd rated Pac12 team, say USC or ?? is in the final or wins the Pac12 tourney vs Stanford. Then possibly #1 or #2 seed is West, the #2/#3 sent East, and OSU as a #4 is kept West???
But, if OSU and Stanford are the two highest seeds, OSU would have to be higher that Stanford to be assured PDX. Going by what happened in '23...
I think?? I also do not think fan base interest has much to do with the NCAA placements. They generally don't give an eff about fans.

I don't give much credence to Charlie Creme or his bracket. Over the years, I really don't feel like Charlie has ever had his pulse on the west (except Stanford WBB). I watched the Indiana vs Illinois game yesterday. Indiana would have a hard time making the top 6 in the PAC-12, and yet Creme has had them ranked pretty high in many of his past brackets this season.

The one way to have Portland host again is by buying tickets and watching good basketball. Go early stay late and be loud is always a good mantra. But up until selection day everything is just a prediction and most analysts just like to hear themselves talk.
