Solid duo. Not 100% sold on the other half, NFL wise.

Solid duo. Not 100% sold on the other half, NFL wise. You never know with goulds speed probably go undrafted or 7th round. Oladapo is an excellent tackling safety with good size. My only question is how fast is he? That would be the only knock I can see on him. If he runs a good forty at the combine I could easily see him getting drafted.

I decided at the Civil War 2022 that Oladapo was an NFL player after a particular open-field tackle and I'm sticking to it, much like i decided Matt Moore was an NFL QB at Hawaii when he hit Stroughter at the first down stick on a 10 yard out he threw on a rope for 30 yards in the swirling wind. Thru my orange-tinted glasses he's Poyer-esque: Under-rated Oregon kid who's speed is questioned but he's just a great athlete/football player with a nose for the ball. I got a feeling he'll land somewhere and turn heads and have a solid career.

Many sites showing Fuaga going in the first round, first 10-15 picks. Good for him!

Many sites showing Fuaga going in the first round, first 10-15 picks. Good for him! I’m really hoping he can go top ten but we’ll see. A lot of times teams are trying to be strategic and not show their hand at who they’re high on. Time will tell but regardless awesome for him that he developed himself into a top of the first round pick!

Many sites showing Fuaga going in the first round, first 10-15 picks. Good for him! Fuaga has been shooting up draft boards since the end of the season. Pretty much EVERY mock draft has him in the first round. I've even started seeing him show up as the #1 tackle here and there. Typically, it's Alt from ND or Fashanu from Penn State, but he's almost universally top 4 OT, with some listing JC Latham of Alabama ahead of him.

What is the record for OSU players invited to the combine?

What is the record for OSU players invited to the combine? Don't know, but we had a record 7 players drafted in 2009, and I would assume most went to the combine. Only USC had more players drafted by the NFL that year. If Fuaga is drafted before 20 (I think a good bet) then he would be the highest drafted OSU player since Terry Baker went 1/1 in 1963.

What is the record for OSU players invited to the combine? I am not going to look back before that, but Oregon State sent five to the 2009 Combine: Victor Butler, Brandon Hughes, Andy Levitre, Keenan Lewis, and Sammie Stroughter. Levitre went in the second, Lewis went in the third, Butler went in the fourth, Hughes went in the fifth, and Stroughter went in the seventh. Afalava and Norris were at Oregon State's Pro Day. Norris went in the fourth and Afalava went in the sixth. Seven Beavs drafted, a record. Oregon State had the second-most players drafted in 2009 behind only USC.

As I recall, there was a tie for second between OSU and tOSU. The fortunes of the two schools have been very different since, but for that one wonderful draft, I remember feeling pretty proud of our coaches and players for that great achievement in 2009!

I remember thinking that they underachieved with so much talent.

I remember thinking that they underachieved with so much talent. Canfield started the year hurt. Then, Moevao got hurt. One yard and a two-point conversion away from a Pac-10 Championship. The three-point "loss" to Utah, after that atrocious pass interference call that allowed the Utes to get the two-point conversion. Five of the draftees were on defense on the best defense in the country the year before. And the second offensive player was a beat-up Stroughter, who got drafted in the late in the Seventh Round.

Funny, thought I’d see what the reaction was. The 2 players I was referring to as “solid” were Fuaga and Olidapo. Not sure about Gould and Cooper Jr, but wish all 4 good thoughts and luck.
