Oregon State may have some recruiting interest in a rising star out of Palo Verde HS in Las Vegas. He is the younger brother of OSU freshman infielder, Paul Myro.
Gunnar Myro is a 5-10, 190 pound shortstop entering his sophomore year at Palo Verde HS. Last year as a freshman, Gunnar was a starting infielder in a Palo Verde lineup that sent 7 players into Division 1 baseball. Gunnar has been showing out in recent tournament and showcase events and has an invitation to participate in the up coming "Futures" circuit. Lots of tools and eye-catching bat speed.
Gunnar has played 3B, SS, 2B, CF and pitched. A versatile utility player that coaches love. Strong arm at 15, 86 mph velo and already showing HR power.
"The #2 Ranked Nevada player for 2023, Gunnar Myro, comes in as another two-way prospect with power potential at the plate as well as on the mound. The Palo Verde product cracked a star studded lineup last year that featured seven D1 commits and is looking to make a big splash at the Future Games. Myro announced his presence in the shortened high school season against California power house, Harvard-Westlake, when he squared a ball back up the middle off of an arm that had been keeping the Panthers off the bases for the most part up to that moment. A prospect that comes with a ton of praise from coaches and teammates that is seeing his stock rise dramatically and with a successful Future Games, will climb the rankings even further."
