No rest for the weary. They were getting ready to fly into Atlanta and then to Starksville. They looked kind of tired, but I may have been projecting my own feelings about them heading to MSU. To be honest, I would be happy if we can get one of those games. Anything beyond that would truly be a boost. I just don’t want the Beavs to get swept. Hopefully, this past weekend was a good learning experience for our team.

Miss St. did not play near the level of competition out of the gate that we did - I look for a tighter rotation in the pitching staff, and more consistent line ups - playing the SECkers is a time to whomp, not to continue experimenting.

I’m hoping for some rain (a la the 2018 trip to Omaha).
Honestly, I expect us to get at least one. With the right combo of pitchers, we can hold them down. They’ll need their rally bananas.

This series will be a character check. Some of the Mississippi State fans are the worst. I remember them throwing water bottles and debris at our guys who were running to the bullpen in Omaha. The beauty of all of that was....well, we kicked their tails.

MSU played Wright St last week.... the Raiders are in Horizon League and usually win it. They’ve been to Corvallis once or twice in a regional . As far as level of competition.... Wright St took #2 Louisville to the woodshed yesterday.... saw part of it. It was no mistake. They’re a good club.

Competition... hmmm... pretty simple, OSU is facing much better pitching/ competition than in Surprise. Don't care what MSU faced. And, as you said Wright St is very good.
