Such a class kid and a great representative for osu baseball...once in a lifetime athlete. He deserves all the success he will surely see. I'll only disagree/add... OSU has had the privilege/been lucky to have several that qualify in the "class kid... great representative... once in a lifetime athlete". To me AR is just the latest example no matter what his MLB career is or isn't.

I think it will be smart to get him to spring training, see the process of Pitcher/Catchers and start learning the big league staff a little bit.
After that, I'd pair him with some of the top pitching prospects to develop some relationship. That Orioles MLB depth chart is young and frankly... not so talented.
Exciting times with Bever Baseball Alum.... lots of them are in the prospects to watch category! Wishing them all the best and ready to add them to my Fantasy watch list as they come on up to the bigs!
Go METS!

Could be wrong. But me thinks Adley is gonna do better than ok. How his progression goes, who knows ? Being in orioles org is maybe both blessing and curse. Has been terrible team. Maybe they get it figured out. Who do they have catching better than Adley ? It’s not like they have a depth of all stars there. And believe he did better than middling last year in minors... I watch a lot of baseball. Not sure I’d be saying Adley is not ready to be a major league catcher. There’s a lot of pretty marginal guys starting at catcher in MLB. Maybe the Orioles have a plethora (big word, I know) of talent at catcher. I haven’t seen it. I think he could be in Baltimore before end of year. He wasn’t drafted 1-1 for nothing.

The one problem with 'outsiders' looking in... folks just don't realize how effing talented you have to be to be a "marginal" MLB player. When you get to that level everyone is incredibly talented... hand eye, arm and bat speed, etc. It's a truly eye opening experience to take kids who think they are D1 players to a D1 practice. Its even a bigger eye popper to take a minor leaguer to a MLB camp. Balls just rocket off bats and fly off their fingers. Adley is extremely talented, but he's not some superior specimen. His career is all about development and getting the right breaks.
