...didn't we beat this guy at least once (2011?) when he was at UCLA? And, as I recall, knocked him around a bit when we beat UCLA in game #1 in 2010?? I think we even hit him pretty well when we lost the opener to UCLA in 2009.
Ah...the good old days....

I'm going to go ahead and guess the winning Beaver pitcher in 2010 was Greg Peavey.

George Wilcox Peavy, President of Oregon Agricultural College 1932-1940, Benton County's Civil Defense Coordinator during World War II, and mayor of Corvallis 1947-1951. Peavy Arboretum, Peavy Hall, and the Peavy Fields are all named after George Wilcox.

OSU beat Cole and Trevor Bauer back to back in 2011. MB. The Beavers were the only Pac-10 team to win both games in which Bauer and Cole started in 2011, and the Beavers did it at Jackie Robinson. Josh Osich's no-hit win over Bauer was Bauer's only conference loss in 2011.

A good team, however that toe stub encompassing the final 7 games cost them a conference title and a possible national seed. Had to wait another 6 years to celebrate winning a championship on that other team's field.

Had to wait another 6 years to celebrate winning a championship on that other team's field. We still had the resume to be a national seed. The problem was that Oregon State lost one too many games down the stretch and let UCLA slip past it in the standings. If Oregon State had stayed ahead of the Bruins in the Pac-10 standings, the Beavers win the Pac-10 and probably net a National Seed.
