College baseball coaching salaries pale in comparison to basketball and football. Alabama's football boss pulls down over 9 times the annual salary of college baseball's top head coach and Dukes hoop head man draws down over 6 times the income of the top baseball boss.
The assistant coaching salaries are nearly proportoniate to scale. College baseball is making progress but still remains a distant third. A few of the elite college baseball programs are paying their head coaches over $1 m annually with Vandy, TCU and several others paying their pitching coaches in the $300k neighborhood.
D1 Baseball's Kendall Rogers reported Nate Yeske left his $240,000 job at OSU for $300k at Arizona. The Wilcats offered a 25% salary increase ($60k annually) with some attractive incentives to lure Yeskie away from the Beavers. Yeske now joins a select few nationally at that level.
That may prove to be a prudent investment for Arizona. Yeske has recently rejected overtures from the Yankees, Mets and Giants. He spurned a Mariner offer a year ago.

Rejecting all of those 'overtures' from MLB makes me wonder if the only 'Prize' that Nate has an 'EYE' on is a college HC position. Must have been pretty devastating for Nate when his 'boss' of several years (Pat Casey), deemed him to be not appropriate to lead the Beavs. I certainly have no inside info.....but I trust Pat.
