So Nate is washing his hair that night? #awkward #bridgesburned Nate Yeskie is the only coach and Dakota Donovan is the only player on the 35-man roster, who is not making the trip. An "anonymous donor" is footing the entire bill. George W. Bush invited Oregon State to the White House after winning back-to-back championships:

Maybe they'll get to take in some of the other current historical activities in the City while they're there. Hope they all have a safe trip. I'm sure it's great for them just to all get together again irrespective of the external circumstances. They are deserving of the recognition.

Isn't it yesterday's news? Why is the White House doing it now? Shouldn't this have been arranged in 2018?

And, keeping it classy, nonpolitical, all about being celebrated for a sporting national title.
Unlike Columbia who not only thinks they are making a statement, but had to let everyone know about it.
Go Beavs... way to represent the right way.

Isn't it yesterday's news? Why is the White House doing it now? Shouldn't this have been arranged in 2018? W did White House visits for the two previous champions in odd numbered years and 2008 (I am assuming it is related to the the even-year elections). Oregon State, having won both the 2006 and 2007 Championships only received one invite, which is why the 2007 Oregon State Beavers went but the 2006 Oregon State Beavers did not. Obama invited LSU in 2009 and South Carolina in 2010 and then disconintued White House invitations for NCAA baseball teams for the duration of his presidency. Trump invited Florida in 2017. It would appear that Trump is resurrecting W's practice of inviting champions in odd-numbered years. Vanderbilt turned down the invitation, so the 2018 College World Series Champion Beavers went by themselves.

It is great to see the team back together in such a historical location. It looks like they enjoyed the trip.

Oregon State's National Championship Team represented their University and themselves impressively today. A day and memory to be cherished for a lifetime for them.
Beaver fans can be very proud of our young men.

Great for the kids and justly earned the recognition. I just wish it did not include a visit with this creep in the White House.
