This one has been rumored for a while but unconfirmed. I'd file it as "a possible 2020 signee" next month.
Jonah Giblin is a 6-3, 192 RHP from Silverdale, WA. that attends Bainbridge HS. He has been committed to Seattle U. but is rumored to have turned the Beavers way. He is listed at various sites as a Seattle commit, an OSU commit and uncomitted. We shall see shortly.
Jonah's fastball is consistent at 89-91 and has touched 92 frequently. His slider is steady at 82-84 with his change-up at 80. His secondary stuff needs polish but the low-90's heater has good late movement and is a put-away pitch at the HS level. Scouts say great frame and "high ceiling" which makes the OSU flip credible.
With Rascica, Hunter, Thorsteinson and Lawson, Giblin would fill the 5th spot that will likely be evacuated by Mick Able once the 2020 June draft process is completed.
Jonah is ranked the 8th best prospect in Washington and the 2nd best pitching prospect on the Washington Top-40
