I'm wondering ow many 141 pounders are starters at the power 5 level are there, or have there been in recent years? I think it's cool.

Assumed they were probably out this week. Sucks, but is what it is. It is pretty telling all our transfers are now starters, save Gebbia that would be if Luton didn't get a sixth year, and by most reports was pretty neck and neck with him.

Pretty good trade.

Given that the Beavs have yet to see a starting QB play every game I'm glad that 1 and 2 were "neck and neck".

Baylor OR Pierce. Baylor has consistently brought it since he stepped on campus. 3 really good running backs. And one of them may be great.

Pretty good trade. Ill always get a chuckle out of how Riley haters were convinced his recruiting was terrible and Anderpants was going to light it up. We should be grateful that Anderpantaloons gave us such a clear object lesson in terrible recruiting (and team management, and coaching, and decision making, and...) that it will be a long time before Beaver fans are quick to criticize the performance of our coaches. It'd take something extraordinary to be worse than him. Anyhoo. I am reasonably confident in our offense. I think we will move the ball with some consistency. I feel we will extert some measure of tempo control. both going slow and fast. I think Luton (and Gebbia) are big enough threats with their arm defenses cannot count on stacking the box every play. Hodgins is a legit Pac-12 level threat, and his stats with Luton (vs Blount) is evidence that he both has big play ability, and these guys have a connection. I am pretty worried about our DL, but I am feeling a whole lot better about our LBs. By their powers combined, I sure hope we average out to "okayish". I feel at least we will be reliably getting first contact on a RB before 5 yards has gone by.

The current roster has veterans that contribute.

But the point remains you do not win 7 games in 3 years, and lose the majority of them by multiple TD margins if you have recruited well. Any Beaver player that is here working their butts off deserve our respect. I am not going to point out names, but we still have some weak spots.

Our DL still looks scarily thin to me.

Get over the hatred and move on. Riley quit 3 times Maybe we should wait and see if this year is a success before we proclaim that his recruits were keys to it. Obviously we have 22 starting positions to fill, and 22 more back up jobs to fill. You have a reasonable 50 person game day roster. Yes, Anderjamies must have stumbled and bumbled his way to a handful of players. Smith cannot fully replace an entire roster in 2 classes (1.5, really). And yes, some of his recruits are good players. It is the body of work, not the individual examples.
