Sorry ladies, this was my fault. I was listening to the game before turning it on the TV when we tied it. I shouldn't have changed anything.

Well, that really sucked at the end. A microcosm of the game. Nothing until too late.

This was the game to win.....SC a horrific matchup. Ah well, now I can finally stop worrying about bball season. After this weekend we're likely in 5th or 6th place .

To be honest the season from here on out doesn't really matter. The Pac-12 tourney is what will count. It was a 1 bid league from the beginning and I was hoping we were going to be the one to take it. But Yikes. Plus the "big win" we have is over sh*t team from Eugene who have no talent playing in that roster.
This UCLA team looked like they didn't even have a game plan and were just pick up basketball. Got streaky throughout the game. I can't believe we lost to them.

There has been a Bruin freethrow on EVERY possession in the last 10 minutes. Just saying 18-25! Beavers have shot 3! Who would have thought that a game against the Bruins would be lost at the foul line?

I realize the game did not hinge on just this, but why in the world would WT call his last timeout before the 2nd FT??? At that point, all UCLA had to do was miss the FT and the game was over. Which, of course, was exactly what happened. Made no sense to me at all at the time, and makes no sense to me now.

Wtf was that? Letting the miss bounce? Did I miss something? That was smart. The clock does not start until someone touches the ball. Maybe it goes out of bounds? Unfortunately, one UCLA player knew enough to rush Tres, and all Tres could do was to try and draw contact. Kelly not being out there on defense at the end seemed like a glaring blunder. The last offensive possession of regulation was a joke. Call your timeout and get your players in and your play in. Calling a timeout with one second left? What a waste! Oregon State is one of the worst perimeter shooting teams in the country with one of the worst perimeter defenses. UCLA was winning first half three point shooting by 20%. Oregon State cut it to 10%, but the Beavers have only been able to overcome an outside shooting disparity that large once this year, against Washington State. If you want to go to the Tournament, you have to win games like that, and Oregon State did not. The Beavers need to win six of the next seven or the final three. Barring something unforeseen, nothing else gets Oregon State to the Dance.

Fans want it badly, a honest look at this team (and close game coaching decisions) there is no way to say they deserve the tourney. Of course unless they go on some great run in the Pac12 tourney. It just isn't there...

It just isn't there... Oregon State has a veteran-laden team. Too many close losses. The Beavers can still put together a run, though. Oregon State is playing the best basketball in 25+ years, but it may not ultimately be enough to get the Beavers into the Dance.

As much as people want to pretend we are playing great and we are amazing to be in 2nd/3rd place in a competitive, tough Pac-12 league, and that we are historically one of the best OSU teams in with this record and start, that is just not the case this year. It is a bomb bad Pac-12, with only one decent team right now. It's not your older brother's Pac-12 where we get 4-5-6 teams in the tournament. This is a BAD BAD BAD year and we have scrapped by a lot of wins because everyone is much worse than us.

When you only have a few free throw attempts and the opponent has over 20 it usually means you are toast on the road. They only lost by one. If they play consistent throughout the game it is a win regardless of the discrepancy in free throw shooting. Could woulda shoulda its a loss in the end.
