THIS TEAM IS FUN!!!!
I am also ready to say KK > Drew already... I havent seen an OSU Big man effect the game on defense like he does since I don't know when. It's not just the blocks, which are great, but the bears are passing up dunks because they feel his presense.
These new video boards are AWESOME!!! They should host important away game watch parties. I would pay 10 bucks to come watch the civil war with 5k other beaver fans when it's in eugene!
The reports of the offense being stale and nothing but iso dribbling are overblown... I have seen lots of double screens, post plays for tinkle and Kelley, screen and tools, screen and curl, etc. Of course shots are falling today so it FEELS better right now, but this is a legit offense either way.
The defense could be special... it is so fun to watch an active, energetic defense, everyone is getting into the act. Blocks, steals, rebounds from every position, and then the pay off fast break points to go with it.
FWIW, Big G has stood up and yelled more than WT so far. When WT has yelled it has mostly been to set the defense and exhort a physical mistake, or just simple encouragement.
Go Beavs!!!!

Also, Washington had a nice shift in the first half. Looked comfortable, and wasnt an obvious giant hole.
Not sure what was going on during the long road trip, but Ethan looks SOOOOO much better than how he sounded in the virgin islands and lbst

As Obf said, all the criticisms of sloppy execution were valid because NOW you see how these team can play when they have clear intentions.

First time we have seen that all year. This is how we need to play on offense. 57% from 3 is an off the charts stat, they were feeling it. AV & JC looked comfortable, which was nice to see. KK was his normal menace on d & showed some post moves. I think he only made one off those moves, but it was good to see them regardless. Hoping GR gets back soon (to back up KK;)). MOSt was pretty weak inside offensively but were able to take advantage when KK was out. Still work to do on d imho, really good during some stretches, not so much early and late in the game.

Kelley doesn't provide Drew's scoring but as others have noted, it took a village to get Drew involved in the offense. Kelley doesn't need any special plays drawn up and when he does get the ball he shows peripheral vision that Eubanks didnt have to make Bill Walton quality passes. And he hasn't even started making that turn around ten footer and drawing the double team yet. I can only shudder to think of how we might be missing KK's shot blocking and all around defensive presence if Drew had come back. Drew would be starting and getting most of the minutes and Kelley would only get in when there is foul trouble.
