I'm pretty sure that your ticket entitles you to a seat at home games - and nothing more. Is there something written on your ticket stub that isn't on mine? And the sponsors have already weighed in on this - and they are the only people who really matter here. If you know of a company that would sponsor our broadcasts if only it wasn't for Warren, by all means, let the AD know! good idea. Just wait until sponsors complain or decide by themselves they have a better way to spend their advertising money. If they are still paying, the product must be great. No need to question anything ever. Because then someone might call you "entitled".

How do you expect fans to follow the program when you cannot even get them an audio feed of the team's games? this isn't working, Barnesworking for me. Are you still using a commodore 64? The role of fill in announcer is to make people appreciate the regular guy. Am I wrong?

I'll call you more than "entitled". The man is doing this for the love of the game and the radio, and you guys piss all over him because he isn't up to your unrealistic standards. I have a lot of words for people like you, but damn few that belong on a public board.

No. He's not "bad". He's as good as half the regular guys in college sports radio, and almost all of the fill-in guys. And if you want something better . . . PAY FOR IT. Otherwise you are just being an whiny, entitled jerk. No he's bad... stumbles, bumbles, and is wrong/corrects himself repeatedly. You've not heard "half the guys in college sports radio". And if you're including student run productions at smaller schools/JCs in that comparison... I might agree with that "half". But, again you've not listened to a 100th, 1000th ofcollege broadcasts, let alone fill ins. This is a message board, fans complain about what they see as inadequate. It's part of message boards and fans having opinions. As a employee of the subcontractor for the university we are in essence "paying for it". And, you should not have to pay extra for something above mediocrity. He does games, OSU seems to think he is fine, but it doesn't mean he doesn't merit criticism. "Whiny entitled jerks" are those who think every one must think like them. If don't like what you read, or others seemingly do not think like you on this site... "and if you want something better... PAY FOR IT."

You must actually BE John Warren??? Well, Hi John! Please get better at announcing You do know Warren gets paid to do what he does right? Sure, he probably loves basketaball, the beavers and radio in general, but he is no volunteer... I mean I love basketball, the beavers and the radio too! I must be a saint! I am not even getting paid for typing this complaint! BS No one said anything about unrealistic standards. It is pretty basic to have a stat correct before you give it or.... just don't give it at all... No one is forcing him to try to give a specific stat that is his choice. And we aren't talking about an occasional gaffe, every announcer has those, having the live stats at our fingers eyes at the same time you could see that the stats were wrong MORE OFTEN than they were correct... Even the score! I meantioned three other announcers ON THE BEAVER RADIO CREW who I would rather listen to, so he isn't even better than half the announcers at his own radio station let alone "all of college sports". Yup, we are all very entitiled; you, me, @blochese, baseba1111, John Warren, Mike Parker, Josh Worden, Tres Tinkle... what does that have to do with the terrible announcing skills of "Doc" Warren? Or that change is only produced by folks who ask for it, try for it, etc? Why should Mr. Warren be so entitled to a job that many others would like a chance at when he hasn't shown a supreme ability to do it? Go Beavs!

Not like anyone said he was a jerk or worse. He's bad at his pd hobby. It isn't HS sports with a few 100 (maybe) listening. Maybe the poster meant we're entitled to our opinions?!

I'm entirely serious. Mike Parker will be back on the job soon enough. Having Jon Warren call a few non-conference games won't hurt anyone.
