This is a reminder to actually get to the games and attend in person. I thought this was Tinkle's best game. His shooting was improved and he didnt dribble into nearly as many poor situations. His court sense is off the charts. Wyoming went to a triangle two defense for a while on him and Stevie, and we attacked it very well. And Tinkle still got 28 points. I have no idea what kind of a NBA career he may have. But he is a special player and if you are a fan and a fan of Oregon State, you should go see him play. To me it is a little bit like watching Michael Conforto hit as a freshman. He was clearly different and it was worth going just to watch him hit.
And a couple of other interesting stats: Kylor Kelley is #1 nationally in turnover rate (he doesn't have any) and #9 in block percentage. Tinkle is #113 in assist rate and #179 in defensive rebounding percentage. Tinkle's last game with single digit scoring (9) was November 16, 2016 against Lamar and before that 7 points against Colorado on February 6, 2016.

No doubt Tres has a scorers mentality with the skills to score in bunches. His interior passing has improved too.

Ironic that he played his best team ball & had one of his best scoring performances.....turn right to go left. I believe in the past all his 1 on 5 stuff is because he thought he had to (and maybe to pad stats to get the attention of a scout or two;)). He has had good individual success with that because he is that good. I hope this is the season he is able to trust his teammates. When he plays like he did Saturday, it greatly reduces our need for a pg (I think he has 15 assists in two games). Don’t get me wrong, I still think we (mostly him) would benefit from a pg, but with the attention he draws and his ability to pass like he did Saturday makes him/us very difficult to contain. I hope he can keep it up since his passing has not been a strength in the past.

I noticed also that from time to time either WT, the team, or TT himself decides that he's going to take the ball up court and start the offense. Nothing wrong with letting your best player that happens to be your "3" or "4" run the offense if he has the handles and passing ability which so far this season he looks to be very comfortable with. A pretty good player in the NBA does that fairly often as well . May be apples to oranges comparing TT to Lebron, but having him run the point some can also reduce the need for a PG as stated. He really has been fun to watch the first 2 games.
