I wouldn’t start Fehmel. He hasn’t been his normal great self. I also said I wouldn’t start Luke tonight. I would go with Abel tomorrow. Or Eisert. Or some crazy wildcard that Casey is used to pulling out of his hat. Just my $.02

Start Fehmel but don't wait until 3 runs are in and bases loaded before making a change like what happened tonight. Completely baffled what took so long to get anyone warming up in the 5th once Luke lost total control. Elimination game tomorrow. All pitchers need a short leash, period.

Fehm's better at night, plus he seems to be a huge change-of-pace from your run-of-the-mill SEC pitcher. Throw a bunch of pitches that move, and the SEC hitters seem to fall to pieces.
Still, I might be tempted to start Eisert and bring Fehm in, in case Eisert gets into trouble. Fehm has always struck me as a long reliever and spot starter anyway.
It's weird to see these SEC hitters. It's like they just see a bunch of big-armed righties that throw heat. If you throw anyone else at them, all of a sudden, they cannot hit. Strange.

I don't care who we start, but if our bats can't score more than one run, we're in trouble. And if blue is going to give the game away, it doesn't matter who we start.

Going to need something from the top of the lineup - nothing from Kwan or Madrigal meant our sluggers were batting with the bases empty.

The Good Fehmel would work these guys over. Hogs hate the breaking stuff and most are young, Eisert throwing strikes will make their life miserable. Fehmel, until he starts hanging pitches. I wonder if Abel could throw 3

Here we go...why do they even care? Who ESPN? they have plans that it needs to be done by the 27th. Equipment, personnel, programming all have to be adjusted with more expense likely if it runs another day (or more) .....uh....Not to mention the HUGE interest that a CWS Game 3 (akin to a MLB WS Gm 7) would generate in terms of potential viewership.

That's just not so - in 2016 they had to play Game 3 in the middle of the day because of their other programming.

OK a couple things:
ESPN absolutely wants a game 3. I'm sure the ad revenue they'll make from a live winner take all game outweighs the potential losses from having crew stay an extra day at the hotel.
Also, Parker said on the radio last night that the 2016 final game was played mid-day to avoid potential weather issues later on.

The ESPN crew had the idea, gotta give them credit. Start Eisert - I keep thinking to myself that Bryce will right the ship, third time is a charm, but I had the same thought about Luke, and I was right through 4.1 innings.......
I just think Able would be best in game 3, we can bring him in if we need to tonight, it is a Johnny all staff game. But we need to score runs!

So far, with our backs to the wall, we've responded. Chamberlain pitched a great 4+ yesterday, and Luke had 3 good innings. Arkansas made us pay in one inning. Just like we did to Mississippi. Yesterday's game was never out of reach, but the bats didn't heat up. Of course, when we had momentum building, a couple of key plays turned the tide.

Eisert has never made a start in college and the great idea is to roll him out there in a must win Game 2 of the Championship Series?
