NO matter how you cut it. The Beavers are better off having Florida win tonight. The rest Arkansas will get for their pitching staff is huge, not saying that they are unbeatable because of it, but it makes things much easier for our guys. At least theoretically... Still disagree. Arkansas’ pitching depth is no where near Florida’s. Also, Florida winning last year helps with the experience factor. Win tomorrow and bring on the pigs! I agree with you, Smalls. Beating the Pigs in a best-of-three seems more doable than beating the Gators. The problem, though, now is that Arkansas' best three pitchers are fresh and set up to go 2-3-1. Oregon State will not have that luxury. Having said that, the Pigs won, so the Beaver-Bulldog game is now at 7:00 p.m. local, as opposed to 2:00 p.m. Saturday is supposed to be 4-5 degrees warmer than Friday. So far, the only thing that seems to have slowed down Oregon State is the heat. Beating a fresh Arkansas might be a bigger ask, but beating Mississippi State with their Saturday starter on the mound seems more doable at night rather than in the middle of the day.

Innings pitched: Arkansas 568.1 Florida 618.1
In 50 fewer innings, Arkansas allowed eight more unearned runs. If you take that over a three game series, the Razorbacks average giving up an extra unearned run. Against Oregon State, it is at least two. In 2006, North Carolina's two unearned runs were the difference between a 2-1 Heel win and a 3-2 Beaver win in game 3.
Go Beavs!

We gave up two unearned runs in the title game too. DB error.

Let’s finish off the Banana Heads today and then we can worry about the Pig Snouts.

Hail State or Failed State? I like five run innings.
