Um, who was questioning the depth of our pitching staff? ;-) Wow! Chamberlain! What a relief effort! Well, me for one. What a moron!!! Everyone seems to be playing more focused ball than before. And maybe the fact that we didn't need a lot of pitchers to get through the regionals meant that our staff was well-rested and focused.

Very good Minnesota team - feel bad for them and their coach trying to get there after 37 years. They were Omaha worthy IMO but had a tough draw.
What a game. I’m exhausted and I sat here, watched and drank. .

No errors for either team. Either game.

I don't know about any of you, but I'll admit I'm living vicariously thru these Beavs on game day. Pathetic for a 60 year old grizzled Beaver sports veteran. I AM a weak vessel...

Nerves of frickin' steel! From Casey to Yetski to Fehmel to Kwan to Rutschman to..well...every player on the team. They just stay calm and keep executing. Meanwhile, I could barely stand to even watch it on TV. It's a privilege to be able to root for this team.
Go Beavs! Mike '84

Good for the Beavs to have to gut out a win. Our line up is relentless on pitching staffs. Nobach[!! br] Hope Gretler is ok getting hit in the hand. Great win !

No errors for either team. Either game. Minne is a very good team. They play the game the right way. Handle the bunts well at the right time, threw to the right bases and ran the bases well. That stretch where they loaded the bases and didn't get much out of it was a key point. A hit there and it might have been a bridge too far tonight Too bad Minne could not have been matched up w/a SEC school. The errors alone would have given them a big edge

Instead, they get swept in Corvallis. Standard Southeast bias. The Gophers deserved better.

Currently ordering another case of Pepto on Amazon, and making doctor's appointment for my new anxiety disorder.
Going back to Omaha, unfreaking unbelievable, so proud of these guys!

Best college baseball game a fan could ever watch. Had it all, pitching, defense, small ball, big hits, strategy, just simply fantastic. That’s a game you hate to see either team lose but Oregon State won. Neither team gave an inch. Wasn’t booted away, victory earned.

Looked soggy and cold in the stands. Good entertainment value watching Minnesota players go from smug and proud to shocked and defeated in about a 30 minute span. They did everything right and played out of their minds and it still wasn't good enough. It never gets old watching Kwan conjure base hits out of two clumps of dirt and a dead grasshopper. 3-5 RBI against that pitching? He's the secret ingredient.
