"Now, if you can point to something that would make what the Oregonian said false "
In order to be a "convicted felon," you must be convicted of a felony. He was not, not in Washington, or in any other state in the country. Pretty simple. He admitted that he was a convicted felon by registering as a convicted of what would amount to a felony in the state of Oregon. Oregon is one of the worst places that he could have gone, if he did not want to be called a convicted felon. So sorry this is so hard for you. In order to be a convicted felon, you must be convicted of a felony in a court of law. He wasn't, not in Washington, Oregon or Timbucktu. Ergo, he's not a convicted felon, no matter how you keep trying to spin it in a personal vendetta that's really getting pretty tiresome.

wilkyisdashiznit , I liked a couple of your posts above, not because I necessarily agree with them, but because I appreciate the calm and measured tone you used in response to emotion and vitriol. Clearly baseba1111 and @henry Skrimshander don't appreciate your informative posts, but I do, so don't be discouraged. Again, I vehemently don't agree with you but I appreciate the dialogue. Actually I do agree with you on one point, Luke has no libel case... and no amount of niggling and parsing legalistic words is going to get him there, unfortunately. According to this definition he doesn't have to prove intent, but he does have to prove that the statements are obviously untrue. At least in terms of Luke's own words, it doesn't seem like even he knows exactly what to call his own status (felon, adjudicated, convicted, admitted, guilty, etc?), so how can he say what the olive said is an obvious untruth... I think you can clearly see that the oregonian used the most provocative wording possible to drive even more clicks, but the system is set up to make libel an incredibly hard thing to sue for and win. I hate it, it bugs me, but if I was can-o-crappo and the whoregonian I would continue to double down on the verbiage with no worries...
