I was thinking about what's happened to both programs since we beat them to go to the 2005 CWS. Pretty amazing. It really is amazing. One of the great programs in college history. All those players to recruit nearby. How did this happen? ASU on the same path. |

All I can think of is that the coach makes a difference, and Pat Casey is a clear step above. |

They turned that place into Goss Stadium South during the Nick Madrigal at bat when he tripled. That hit wouldn't have happened without them, I just know it. First time OSU has started a series at USC 2-0. |

Following that Super they forced out Mike Gillespie, who went on to coach for 13 more season at UC Irvine, with far more success than the 3-4 successors at USC have enjoyed. |
