Last non-conference game of the season. Next time OSU faces an unfamiliar team is hopefully on a warm June evening at Goss Stadium. Will a football score break out? Will Jonathan Smith make an appearance if he sees such a score? Will Mike Parker have to play 4 breaks worth of commercials in the post game like last night? I'm not sure if he did, the audio cut out after he sighed asking such a question. Almost on cue, coach JS makes an appearance with daughter in the booth.

Hmmmm, Tweedt, well rested, becomes the strike thrower we need? Stranger things have happened.

San Diego is obviously toast for game and season, but Sam is keeping the ball down, and his curve is actually moving. Two things that have been totally absent. We will see with a couple more innings.

I agree with your assessment of his two pitches. His curve looks like an under control version of of Abels.

That's the season for Tweedt, feel bad for him. Zero confidence...like a golfer getting the yips when putting

Thank you for the posting of this game. My brother, Chris Johnson, has Orange in his veins, especially when it comes to Beavers baseball (flew to Arizona, met up with our dad, & watched the Beavers start their season; drove up to Pullman to watch a series there, season ticket holder). Chris was hit by a drunk driver Tuesday night, just south of Monroe, returning home from this game. His skull is fractured and he has extremely serious brain injuries; the outlook @ present is not hopeful. He is at Riverbend hospital in Springfield, ICU on the fourth floor, Room 23. This was probably his last Beavers game; reading this post helps me to see him in the stands, cheering on the Beavs, taking pictures with his new phone. It's great that the Beavers gave him a win. Again, thank you. - Brian Johnson (brother) www.gazettetimes.com/news/local/eugene-man-sustains-serious-injuries-in-alleged-duii-crash-in/article_3ad4ba38-7b26-5a40-80e1-e7b34bfe391f.html
