Eisert has been up in the pen per MP Up... but, nothing serious. Of course Bryce comes out very sharp and focused. Might be the best 7 IP I've seen him since his Frosh year vs a quality team. Vandy clincher was very good too! we LOVE this Bryce Fehmel...and the formerly #2 ranked Stanford Cardinal - they’re not on board with that. Way to shine, in your biggest game of the season - #26 !!

I am soooooooooooooo tired of that bat commercial. Year after year. I’m going to buy a Quattro, hire someone to mow my lawn via zip recruiter and chug a bottle of Martinelli’s cider after the game. Good times.

Ok... unless Jake wants the work, at 10-0 maybe I let Bryce go for the complete game. But, really no reason for it.
Have rightly and lefty ready... give Furd no momentum for tomorrow... NONE!

Absolutely huge game by Bryce. Every time I count that dude out he tells me to shut my pie hole. Awesome job... Now we go into tomorrow with everyone rested and ready, can keep Abel on a short leash. ummmm...I think you mean Grant Gambrel

What was that large Thump I just heard? A Big Tree Falling. OMG what a weekend and nice job Beav's!
I do have to say Pac-12 Network is sucks beyond belief. Last night they mostly were hyping Beck. Then today the Network with all kinds of Dark Channels, covers a Soft Ball Game while the Big Game was only online. Ok, I get following the extra inning soft game but are they clueless and can't figure out to move the Soft Ball Game or Baseball Game. Again, they suck.

BA .117 OSU 20 fer 63 (.317) vs the "best" staff in the land Oregon State is this good but.. not impressed with Stan's give-up. Yesterday, they weren't going to rally against Luke's fastball and today Bryce just snowed them with his location and change-up. However the body language of the cardinal players went defeat mode very early. The great teams cannot be swayed. Even if you get them down by a fistful of runs they want to charge you. Even Hartford, that team didn't go away. Stanford got plunked on the nose and then just took a seat. Again, this line up... its a mash cycle. One terror after another for opp pitchers. Kwan staring you down with his Bruce Lee laser focus, Adley always hitting about .400 and hitting your weak side, Grenade certifiably guaranteed to hit in every game, Larnach (better walk him), Madrigal (yeah good luck with him), Gretler like an effing rattlesnake also certifiably guaranteed, Malone, Nobach, Taylor all these dudes mean you harm. Has OS ever had a gauntlet like this? I don't remember.

Badwack I wasn't going to bring this up and blitch about the tv but you started it- The Pac 12 play by play guy (no names please he doesnt deserve a name) frittered away the game in bill walton offroad territory: skateboards again and again (ok stanford smarty pants reputation -5 but you cant go to that well 18 times. It gets old) dancing queen - yes it's Kwan's walk up song. Why is that so hard for you to believe? cooking- yes one of the Stanford players cooks a mean enchilada. true fact. Keep talking about it. blah blah spent the summer in Nicarauga feeding the poor. Please read the media guide with more conviction. The real problem here is the announcer didn't want to give the Beavers any credit. Yeah orange colored hearing aids don't help my perspective but he made it sound like the beavs would be over the moon just to get 2 wins from Stanford and yes this is some kind of fluke. Is it wrong to expect more than faint praise? OS provided superior baseball. Time to crack open your dictionary for some superlatives tv dude. Its not time for more stories about your trip to panama.

Love it... Furd fans come in cocky, best record in some time, ranked #2, going to start to swing the current (since 2011?) 2-19 (now 20) record around, have a seemingly better starting rotation... Yet... This trip is a real confidence builder for the Furd. update: Fehmel twirls around and picks off the dude at second. All the runner saw was a blur of orange hair and then the tag in his face. just Beautiful Baseball. That looked to be set up by Madrigal, who must have spotted something in the runner's attention span or approach, and the whole Furd bench fell asleep at the wheel - Nick snuck back to second like he was almost invisible, and they had the kid dead to rights. Great defense behind Bryce today, the best thing a pitcher who pitches to contact could want to have.

Mp mentioned trhat might have been set up on the mound visit by the infield several pitches before. And yeah, Nick was the instigator on that play. Typically a sign by the 2B. Wipe your shirt or whatever

From Stanford on-line media, just now:
It was the first time Stanford has lost a start by Bubic since April 14, 2017 – the Cardinal had won his previous 19 starts.
It was the first time this season Stanford has lost consecutive games.
