Getting back to baseball, Bryce was as good as I have seen him all year, and if 8 innings of shutout baseball against Furd doesn't earn him National Pitcher of the Week, then some SEC pitcher has held a Division II school to less than 5 runs, or someone has thrown a no hitter. Seriously, this looked like an even better version of the team I saw last season, sans a baserunning error and another situation I am chalking up to our guy at first misjudging how far the ball got away from the catcher. This is the weekend we are seeing the team the coaches have been saying has been there all along, and I like it! I know young Mr. Fehmel has not always passed the coaches in the stands eye test(coaches in our family also, including me), but this guy has compiled a 26-7 career record, which is not bad. I know, in those 7 losses the little girl with the girl has lost command and was hit pretty hard, but he has gotten it done, and usually on the big stage. And yes, this team seems to be peaking at a good time. But then there is Sunday. Thankfully the pressure will not be on Abel like it was tied 1-1. Just trust your stuff Kevin, and hold that fire in check!
