Don’t drink so much beer...... problem solved. Blasphemy. blasphemy it IS.....but I think I like ‘spuds’ response even more. “....now that’s just Dumb”. Especially since an official component of Oregon State University’s academic program involves BEER. |

Good old OLCC get involved and screw things up. Lottery guys are just as bad. Our lodge has a daily draw board that comes down. The roll a day goes away if he is there. Roll a day is you roll five dice, three tries for a dollar, get four of a kind, straight full house and you win a drink token for your buck. Five of a kind gets you half the pot accumulated. The other have goes to the local charity pot. Lottery guy got all excited about that. Now, it is what they don't see, don't hurt them.

I had a relative who was head of a fraternal organization back in the day when you had machines you played for "fun". One night the OLCC raided the place and took the machines. My relative argued, pleaded and made a great show of indignation as the machines were being wheeled out.
Then he turned to a friend and said something to the effect of "Thank the Lord those things are gone, you have no idea how much money that will save me!" (his wife had fed those machines so many quarters.....)

The line for a beer and a dog was 1.5 innings long. What I don't get is that you have 100 people in line and every order is like it is a freaking surprise, (hey! this guy ordered a beer, better start pouring). Speed up service! Have 10 Coors lights ready to go at all times, 6 new Belgian and 6 new hop valley. Have a stack of dogs prepped, wrapped and ready to go. I swear Levy Restaurants are amateur hour. Standing in line for a Coors Light?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. I wouldn't drink that crap if it was delivered to my seat. |
