Lundeberg quotes Casey as not being happy playing at Missouri State. This is a return trip for the Missouri State series in Corvallis that didn't happen because of a Missouri State scheduling snafu? Our former, short-term AD was a moron or am I misreading the Lundeberg tweet? From O-Live earlier in the week: The Beavers' traveling show opened Pac-12 play with three of its first four series on the road. The three games in Springfield, Missouri, starting with a first pitch at 9 a.m. PT Friday, will have OSU living out of suitcases for the third consecutive weekend.
The teams will play a single game Saturday afternoon, leaving Casey none too pleased about an old scheduling hiccup.
A double-booking during the 2015 season led to Cal Poly buying out Missouri State's visit to Corvallis. Casey said OSU administrators also agreed to honor the Beavers' return series against the Bears within five years.
"It's the worst schedule in America," Casey said. "You fly halfway across the country in the middle of your season in your off-week (from conference play) and it's ridiculous. We've just got to deal with it." |

Announcers are indeed morons. That was not a perfect run down. You run them back to where they came. Ran him toward home. A mistake he scores. They got him, but the trail runner made it to 3rd. Hit or another WP and he scores.

It is interesting to listen to the TV analyst talk about pitch selection. He is disagreeing with it frequently. It isn't Heimlich or Ruschman calling the pitches. It is Yeskie. The decline of the pitching staff is not all on the shoulders of the pitchers.
