It was a slow death through the first two plus quarters. That's what great teams do. Ladies had a great year and brought alot of joy to beaver nation. And a big tip of the hat to Louisville. Great Beaver year, though. Louisville playing like a #1 seed.

Let's see the show of hands of those predicting this team would make it to the Elite 8. My hands are down too.
Another great job by Rueck and the players.

I know I'll take crap for it but I'll say it. Louisville was hooking/arm barring us the whole game and getting away with it. We would box out and get good position they made up for it by hooking and controlling. Physical D my ass.
The 5th foul called on Marie was her trying to get off #3 's hook, #3 flopped and got the call. #3 did it several times to get calls.
With that said you can't win games missing wide open shots like we did we were doomed by a poor shooting day and they can't miss. What a great run late this year, and we should be better next. Go BEAVS!

The difference in a game like this
1. Athletecism. Our girls have to get faster and stonger in the offseason. 2. Home Court. Hosting matters 3. Playing right on the big stage.
Really proud of this team! Went further than expected by anyone. Replacing Marie will be tough, but this team can get better.

We had a bad day but some of that was being taken out of our game by the refs. Fouls were NOT being called the same on both sides of the court. That said we needed to play better.
It was a great season for the beavs, elite eight is great!

Maries last foul was legit. She may have been trying to get away from a hook but she did push the Louisville player. When refs allow such extreme physical play it doesn't play into the Beavers hands. That being said, I don't think anyone expected an elite 8 appearance. I thought they would make it to the tourney but wouldn't make a run like they did. A great season. It would have been nicer to go out swinging to the end but stuff happens a lot.

A tip of the hat to L'ville. They have the horses to give them a chance when they are at the Final Four.
Great season Lady Beavs!

Beavers had a very good season....and it's still a young team with only 1 senior, and 1 junior who starts (2 juniors total).
Louisville successfully employed the high on ball pressure that UCLA and USC used in Los Angeles. The turnover bugaboo reared its ugly head again for OSU. Hopefully this problem will be significantly lessened with more practice and DS as the starting point guard.
