And... an offensive board might seal it... off a effing freethrow

Really??
Coach... she's had a terrible night. Kalmer played awesome. Should have never been on the court to make that pass!
Sometimes you just sit someone on a night like tonight... it happens... and if doing so dents the confidence they are not the player you thought.
Hmmmm... 1st time in forever I've thought SR cost the team a chance!

I don't think the Beavs gave up enough offensive rebounds. Ridiculous.

Inability to get defensive rebounds killed us. The trees took our top 2 players out of the game, and Pivec + McWilliams + Kalmer could not overcome that (especially when Kalmer was on the bench for long stretches). Taya had open looks from the outside but none of them dropped. Our 4 spot collectively didn't board or shoot great tonight (3-10, 5 boards in 21 minutes). Kat could not get free and started pressing towards the end - on the last inbounds hitting KTMac coming free in the corner towards the ball over Pivec away from the ball up top was a lower risk, higher reward pass.....especially given KTMac's height and effectiveness from that area of the floor.
As the announcers observed, we do better in "finesse" situations, teams that manage to rough us up have gotten the Ws this season. I have to admire Tara's coaching tonight. Good game plan that the refs were willing to tolerate. Will be interesting to see how the trees fare against the 'ucks.
Go Beavers!

Taya and Mik not hitting the open 3's hurt. But that's what will happen with three's. Not getting the rebounds for big stretches of time is what killed them. And rebounds are largely about effort, and with OSU a lot of team play. That didn't happen this game. Dunno. McPhee and Johnson just seemed to want it more sometimes and so they got it. Let's hope they get their buttes in gear against Cal.

Really disappointing effort in so many ways. Boards, defense at times, boards, shooting %, boards, some coaching decisions...did I mention REBOUNDING!
I was surprised at how much Physical play Stanford got away with from the start and throughout the game.
