Former Long Beach State coach is using the same pressure technique as when we played late last year. Beavs need to pound it inside with gulich and grymek together.

This team just doesn't have the options it had and needs. Win or lose, UW is not good, and the unforced TO's are a consistent problem.
Scott will coach em up. But, this team is far too outside oriented, with only Marie as a legit inside threat. If they aren't hitting the three and giving away possessions this team is very limited.
If UW can take away the interior and three ladies commit 11 TO's in a half, there are much better teams that can also do it.
Points in the paint, better D, far less in the turnover dept (already 2 early thus half) to open the outside/ relax the shooters.
Double digit W if so...

Gulich is displaying an All-American level of athleticism this game...especially this half. Moving, bending, ambidextrous motion. Never more impressed. Early candidate for PAC 12 WBB POY.

Woooo, got the win. Maybe Coach Rueck will utilize Gulich to bring the ball up when the opposition brings the full court press. Love watching the post players dribble up the court against a full court press. Great to see a win, and 75 points to boot, with Pivec quiet. Just means that other coaches will have to game plan more. And while the turnovers stink, the 25 assists on 28 shots looks great.

Gulich was outstanding - great hands and athleticism corralling some of the entry passes despite lots of pressure.

Am I the only one who was highly annoyed by this graphic (the entire game long)?  What's wrong with that graphic? (hint: more things than one) It's bad enough to have to deal with the replay from two angles after everrrrrry sinnnnnnngle OSU basket. two angle replay sucks (miss first 10 seconds of opponents possession). WASHINGTON 22 ranked....Beavers NOT is a 'blow'. 3 seconds off game clock - and only 2 seconds off shot clock is a 'blow'. Now for something completely different: at TSDTR Ducks win over WSU by 33.....but very weirdly they only get 3 points from their bench. What up ?  (hint: TSDTR WBB bench shot 1 for 11). |

Not only is uw unranked in both women's and men's basketball, no ranking whatsoever shown for OSU. WTF? Get it together, OSU video department!(FTR: Texas A&M is ranked #22) First 10? Try first 15-20. The shot clock thing is insignificant (nothing more than a few tenths difference from an inaccurate TV graphic, to begin with). Game clock starts with tip, shot clock only starts with possession so the 1 second delta with the game clock is probably correct. |
