Well this is interesting.. Josh Reyes listed as wrestling for us at 149 (he's not on the official site, winter term add?). I've watched him for a while now, went to Parkrose, then Boise State, then Clackamas, visited us and Fresno last year before committing to Fresno.
Rhoden at CCC mentioned that he had some personal stuff come up and wouldn't be attending Fresno... Saw him wrestle unattached at Mike Clock earlier in the year and he looked like he could plug right in for us. Nice addition!
Bresser back in the lineup today too. McLeod still out at 84. Craw and Dhesi at Heavy. Let's go!!!

Bresser with a quick fall, and Hunter Willits with a nice win over #8 seed. Other than that we have been skunked. Reyes was oh so close. Mode is the first guy out, 0-2. Maybe he's not a 149?

Great win for Willits. Think Langenderfer was ranked #13 in the country. We needed that. Hathaway struggles continue and not getting anything out of 133 right now. Bummed about Reyes, but I think he definitely helps us in the long run.

Done until session II, 5pm PST.
7 guys still alive: Bresser, Dhesi in the championship Hathaway, H. Willits, Bigelow, Terry, Crawford in the consies
Team wise, 12th place, with 18 points.
biggest surprise, Greigo going 0-2, both losses by fall.

Grieg was a shock Good to see Bressler scoring points and not trying to win 3-2 every match
Hunter is getting some big time experience, he will e good in the future

Hunter Willits will be a future star. He has had nothing but B1G opponents in this tournament. He has another one this round. Bresser will have his hands full against a junior world-level competitor in the semis. Not sure on Dhesi, he had the fight taken to him. I imagine he is still in his brace, plus not necessarily in wrestling shape yet after extended time off. Not too worried about him.
Go Beavs!

Bresser with the huge win! Awesome job. Into the finals vs Suriano. I actually like his chances tonight.
Dhesi still alive in placing matches...

Stamina looks a lot better than RTOC, but still looked pretty gassed towards the end of his last match vs Gunning from Buffalo...And that was a match where they stayed on their feet just about the entire time.. Think it's a matter of gas tank plus trusting the knee - there have been a couple of times where he looked a little uncomfortable to me.. He has 2 more today and will finish somewhere between 3rd-6th. Not too shabby!

Way to go Bresser!
A bit of trivia...OS last Midlands finalist was Ronnie (Rios) Bresser (2015). Our last Midlands champion was Chad Hanke (2012).

Looks like Dhesi will forfeit his 5th place match. He will take home the 6th place trophy

Was Dhesi hurt or just gassed?
