I was hoping for insight on how the elimination of the season ticket donation writeoff will affect the Beavs vs. the bigger wigs. Thank you to those that stayed on topic. I understand how easy it is to go off on the rest of the bill.

I think that it will effect the size of donations; it's simple math. Taxes increase on donations, while the amount available stays the same, there is less net to give.
As for the plan, you don't cut taxes while the economy is hot, it's bass-ackwards. Watch out medicare and social security, cuts are coming to balance out the corporate welfare. I expect my generation is not going to end up with nearly the benefits my parents have.

First... I will say that yes, this is a very crappy piece of legislation. It will mostly help corps and the wealthy. Understand, I’m republican.
it is no mistake our greatest period of economic growth in modern times after jimmy Carter was the Reagan years. Due to tax cuts and regulatory changes. Which benefited GHWB. And Clinton. Ask yourself.... when was the most optimistic and prosperous time of your life economically ?
It is NO mistake that the economy suffered under Obama. He can blame GWB or financial crisis ( which is an entirely different thread that I can speak to being in middle of that ) for a couple years. But NOT all 8 years. His overbearing regulatory over reach and executive orders/fiats, tax increases, have cost American families a lot of money. Lost jobs, less economic growth. What you see now in the economy is growth as result of administration change from one strangling business to one more friendly to the open market. ,.... AND an expectation of this tax legislation.
I’m not entirely in favor of it. It won’t help middle class. And I think it’ll hit OSU hard with elimination of the donation tax deduction. It will hit all schools hard... but OSU needs all the help it can get. Schools like tOSU, Alabama, LSU, A&M.... those donators are going to donate anyway.... there’s a lot of money there. They just want to win. And they’re committed to it. At OSU ?.... it’s gonna have an impact. If you can get your donations in before 12/31, do it. And Go Beavs !
