ESPN TV ticker tonight had: USC, Stanford, UCLA, ASU, UW, UO, Utah, Cal, OSU, ... WSU, UA(or UA,WSU), CU. With the season we had, this is a very very good class. And I agree with those who say that it might be one of our best ever. Mainly because we recruited very well in our most dire positions of need. And hopefully we recruited guys who aren't afraid of alot of hard work. While we are probably never going to be in the top half of the pac12 recruiting ladder, IMO GA will eventually get us competing for the 5-7 spots where we can consistently start bringing in the upper 3star guys who actually have offers from non-bottom feeder P5/MWC/BigSky level programs. Still, with classes like this, we've got enough goods to make good things happen. Great times to be a Beaver! We are closer to the rest of the PAC 12 North (except Stanford) than it looks. Brighter future than last year's campaign. |

The morning after.... and I'm very happy.
Like many have said, we recruited to our needs and most importantly picked up 5-7 guys who will play on defense next year in the 2 deep depth chart.
We got our QB of the future, 2 great RB prospects, a couple of WR which includes an in state guy. Great work coaches and lets keep this thing rolling!
Oh.... and did you see we recruited 145 LBs? Just kidding, I think the body of a LB is so helpful on special teams and those are the dudes that grow into impact players.

Solid Recruiting Class - So are we expecting great things for 2016 or is this more of a 2017 impact? Guess that 2016 being closer to 2015 than I would like

Guess that 2016 being closer to 2015 than I would like I have a guarded optimism for the 2016 season - the juco kids should result in an improved D (can't get any worse) and with a real QB under center I think the O will be much improved BUT the OLine is a question... guarded optimism... |

Running a 3-4 you need tons of capable LB's and we brought a ton in. Plus I am loving the 8-9 DL we brought in. I think we have two instant impact Freshman in Wallace and Thompson. Especially Thompson, he looks like he can be a force at safety from day 1. I am loving this class. Last year GA did great in two months and now continuing the foundation of the team with this class. |
