I watched most of the UH games in '06 and '07 since I was living in Kona at the time and they were all televised. I personally thought the '06 team was the stronger of the two. Went to the OSU game, that was a great game.

Jone is an above average option, but I am not sure I would like that selection over some other coaches, except his recruiting connections to the Pacific might be nice.

I'd be torn between he and Baldwin. I'd think June could get us to 7-8 wins or beyond faster, I'd think Beau might stay longer.
My thinking is June would build the program up then have a so-so year or two and decide "Hey I'm 70 something already, have done some great things in my life, and I don't need to put up with this booster BS anymore. It's time to ride my motorcycle." If that happens I'd thank the football gods for having him until then, but the possibility of having someone who might be here a few extra years also is appealing.

You have two 64 year old coaches, June Jones and Les Miles. Assuming Miles is interested, why the hell would he NOT be considered if June Jones is? I don’t get it.

J Jones has already been mentioned. Mostly, it has been in jest! Aren't you the guy that said Les Miles would come here and the defense would be so good that it would hold most opponents to 17 a game and that would be enough to win most games? PS- the Beavs are by far last in offense (points per game) and they are averaging 20 points a game. I think the next is around 28 a game, so.... 17 a game, wouldn't cut the mustard here! Even in a crap year like this has been for the PAC 12. Go Beavs! What’s your point? I believe that about Miles, but he’ll take a higher profile job than this one. I don’t remember who’s tune you kept whistling for the job, was it Casey’s brother? Because we know that coaching at Aloha and George Fox should translate to D1 Power 5 success in football. I’m not saying that he couldn’t be successful, but I’m confident that we’re Miles truly a candidate his chances of being a “home run hire’” would be considerably better than Casey’s. Seems like you may have coached with him at Aloha - therefore you are much more qualified than me to consider what’s best for OSU football. In the end, neither you nor I or anyone on this board knows squat about what we really need or who is going to be our next coach. I’m not surprised that Miles isn’t serious about this, and I’m not stumping for Jones at all. I just wondered about people’s perspectives on him. No I never endorsed Chris Casey as the next HC here. Somebody mentioned him and I just put in that I think he's a great guy and a great football coach, having coached on his staff. He's also a friend. Go Beavs!

If he’s anything like his brother, he has some good things to offer wherever he goes. It will be interesting to see which 3 or 4 names truly emerge when the job closes.

Its disgusting to base your opinion on age. Bill Snyder age: 77, Rocky Long age: 67, Nick Saban age: 66, Frank Solich age: 73......all very successful active coaches.

If you have not had a personal relationship with coach Jones you can only base your opinions on what you read and then extract what you want to believe from that information. It indicates a lack of responsibility for anyone here to base their opinions on age and speculative information extracted from non or miss-informed information. I spent two seasons with coach Jones and he has the unique ability to facilitate positive energy amongst programs he coaches. He is recognized as one of the most brilliant offensive minds and carries the innate ability to "Unify" his players, coaches, administration, boosters, fans and donors by demonstrating faith, conviction, encouragement, strength, compassion and accountability. There are no hyrocracies with this man, he walks the walk and talks the talk, a true leader and mentor for many if not all in his program team members. For those of you that speculate or question why Junes tenure abruptly ended, I will only indicate that it was simply reasons of integrity. He has sacrificed more than any one person should endure for upholding his faith, reputation and values without defamation to other entities. Coach Jones will bring renewed energy and excitement to the program as well as increased attendance, additional donor contributions, increased recruiting interest from top athletes and a definite recruiting advantage for Pacific Islander players. Do you see the benefits here? Jones will bring immediate unification to the program, will change the culture and will WIN creating one of the most prominent programs in history. Your program would be a beneficiary of a coaching legend and more importantly a legend of a man!!!! I hope that you all will have the privileged opportunity to share your ambitions, visions and future with coach Jones because you too will recognize the man and coach we all know and love!! GO BEAVS!!!!

June Jones QUIT SMU 2 games in to the season. Sound familiar?
June Jones decided it would be a good idea to hire scumbag Art Briles. Good decision making?
If we are going to go that route I could easily be convinced to stay with Corey Hall.
