My top five: Chip Kelley Jon Smith-Husky OC Beau Baldwin-Cal OC Brian Harsin-Boise St Rocky Long-SDSU, may be too old? No way on the Chipster. He went public with his disdain for following NCAA rules. We don't have a PK in our donor base to fix whatever violations mess he creates. Every other college team is avoiding him, why should we take that on. You grossly exaggerate. Regardless, Chip would laugh in our faces. He'll have the pick of the litter any year he wants to come back. Notre Dame, UCLA, aTm, etc.

I'm on board with Tedford. The timing should be about right, after 2-3 years with Fresno...

we missed the boat on Tedford! He was the first one wanting to come here after Riley left!
B Baldwin, R Long (yeah OSU ties but...), sorry I don't think these guys will work. we need a guy with PAC 12 experience. Can't afford for the learning curve of how this conference works. If they are coming from out of the PAC, they need to be a QUALITY NFL assistant, that can be a quick study and realize what's going on immediately. They need to be able to recruit too! Baldwin and Long probably won't be top notch recruiters. I would be willing to have Sir Dennis comeback out of retirement! But half seriously, experience in the conference is important. No, no recycled HCs (no Helfrich, or other recent HCs) but assistants/coordinators that are ready? Yes!
There would obviously be some exceptions outside of the conference, but we're talking (they have to have some major credibility).
Would definitely like J Smith as an OC though!
That's my take!
Go Beavs!

Beau Baldwin, he at least would have an offensive direction. Harsin from Boise St but really why would he come here. He just got done kicking the shat out of Wazoo.. Uh, Cougs just won in 3 OTs.

would you like to see replace Andersen? Rocky Long-SDSU Beau Baldwin-Cal OC Brian Harsin-Boise St. Wyoming HC North Dakota St. HC-the guy who has won multiple FCS NC's. or Write in I know, unfortunately for all of us, he's not going anywhere any time soon but let's just dream for a moment. Isn't the current Wyoming coach the guy who won those championships at ND St? I think so...I'd go for him or Baldwin. Somebody who is young enough and has the energy and vision to wake us up.

Go Beavs! Tedford's not proud. He would come back. He knows the area and can recruit California. Rocky Long has won its division four of the past five years. The lone loss was due to an overtime loss to Fresno in 2013. He knows the area and can recruit California. What do you have against Beau Baldwin?

Isn't the current Wyoming coach the guy who won those championships at ND St? I think so...I'd go for him or Baldwin. Somebody who is young enough and has the energy and vision to wake us up. Craig Bohl won three consecutive national championships at North Dakota State, but Chris Klieman took over and one two and were #1 in the country before dropping the semifinal against eventual National Champion, James Madison last year. Klieman is undefeated against FBS teams, beating both Iowa State (by 20) and Iowa (by 2). Klieman beat Eastern Washington by 27 points at the Inferno. Bohl is 15-25 at Wyoming. His only non-CGA-esque year was last year, 8-6 with a five touchdown loss to Nebraska, a three-touchdown loss to New Mexico, a home loss to San Diego State (Rocky Long), and losses to Eastern Michigan, UNLV, and BYU (Sitake). Neither Bohl nor Klieman has coached over here. At least CGA can recruit........allegedly.

Rocky Long. It would be nice to see a defensive guy make a go of it in the Pac 12. Don't care if he's old; he would give the team some badly needed professionalism.

Now we are faced with an enormous problem called recruiting! This Program is going nowhere for years if this mess is not corrected NOW! A crowd of 5000 Students is not going to pay the Bills. A Recruiting Class from left overs from PSU might the future.
