what was that last pitch? that was no strike. That wasn't even remotely close to the plate. The Umpire must have wanted to end the game.

With that firepower, the off-speed stuff is just not fair. But, I really think the Beavs will play small ball and work it. Work that count and get that pitch count up. Pitching, defense, small ball. No mistakes. That's PC's recipe. I still remember when the Beavs beat Big Time Timmy Jim (Lincecum) when he was at UDub. I thought he was unbeatable but the Beavs matched up with their own pitching and somehow scrapped a 2-1 victory ? I forget the details. All I know is that the Beavs overcame a powerful pitcher and just waited for a mistake or two. I dunno. Whatever it takes. It's a battle of wills and I think the Beavs are just taught to not even give up an inch. Just scrap. Beavs should win.

Lincecum beat Dallas Buck on that Friday night. Final score 6-4. Gillespie got a 3 run dinger. The only reason I flagged this was I thought the same thing for years. Until i was shown my error. Tim struck out 16. But gave up 4 runs www.osubeavers.com/sports/2006/5/6/207842599.aspx

Did anybody else see this? I did! And I proudly exclaimed in front of my 16 yo boy, "That chick is hot!" He silently agreed.
