Thanks for posting.
My big questions/interest is where will Gretler and Anderson be drafted? As I occasionally mentally drift to next year those are 2 important pieces that could be back pending final selections and bonus options.

Agreed, would not surprise me to see Gretler picked, will he sign though? Who knows.

Gretler has a better shot than Anderson.

An article awhile back on Jack Anderson said that it would have to be ALOT of money for him to leave OSU. I think he knows that his future is with the education that he is getting along with a little baseball in between. I think it was in the Tribune.

Once you get outside the top 10 rounds, slotted money is gone, and outside the top 20 or so, you are playing for the love of the game as much as the small bucks in the minors. Both guys were so much better the second half of the season, that they too, might be back. We can't have everyone coming back tho, what a logjam that would create on the bench. Only one senior that has to go, and Max is going to get picked up fairly early, I think.
Still, I would have loved to heard my name called on draft day. My dad did, but 5 seconds to first is not going to get a guy who can hit past high school.

I'm not sure I'm allowed to bring this up but...
Is Luke not going to be drafted at all now due to the incident? I thought I had heard some clubs were passing, but not all of them.

No one really knows. The timing is about as bad as possible. I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock into joecool's draft list. Donahue not drafted either? Who knows for sure. We'll find out soon enough.

Mike Vick came back, and heck is now even being honored by the falcons... It would seem that even for pretty heinous stuff, time heals wounds.

I thought I had heard some clubs were passing, but not all of them. and I'm not sure I'm allowed to reply but.. There was a blurb - I think it was on Baseball America chat, earlier today - someone asked about his status and the response was - it's doubtful you see him drafted in the early rounds as 1) basically a scout has to put his name on it and 2) the publicity that comes with the pick. Did say that later rounds you could see a team taking him, lower risk pick, etc.

FWIW here is the current Baseball America top 500 draft prospect list. Only KJ, Drew, and Jake show. This is a recent change.

I think Luke gets drafted. Just no in the first 3 rounds.

I think Luke gets drafted. Just no in the first 3 rounds. He may get drafted, but he might get treated like a college senior with the bonus - does he have a school to come back to if he declines going pro? That said, TJ Friedl from Nevada was NOT drafted last year because of some confusion about his draft eligibility. Turns out he WAS draft eligible, but ended up going undrafted and the bidding war got him a $200,000 bonus. Going undrafted might be a blessing in disguise for him.
