I think I would start Bryce and have Rasmussen ready for long relief. Try to end this thing in two.

Well Canzano and Moron should be happy.

Fehmel is more likely to be successful as change of pace after Raz. Max then Hickey to follow. Agreed win this one. Great thing is Beavs will beat the ESPN consensus number one draft choice on their way to Omaha. I hope he fares better than tonight's starter who was a let down. JB, Eisert, Mullholland and Tweedt (on short rest ) have game 3

Don't forget about Max!
I would bet that Raz starts tomorrow and then unload the best bullpen on Vandy's ass and send them packing! Go Beavs!

As long as we score 5-6 runs in the first I don't care who we start.
For once I'm okay with the O taking the pressure off the D.

Leave no doubt.

A little birdie last night told me Razz will start.

But, but, but.... ESPN is soo excited about Wright we don't stand a Chance. He is #1 though #10, All World, Pitches with his his Elbows to keep it fair, (maybe his knees) It is hopeless...

I mean he clearly has talent, but his record is only 5-5.

As of Friday afternoon, ESPN had Vandy breezing through Corvallis and winning the CWS. Helluva' breeze....

Rasmussen has an arm problem. Probably Fehmel.

Vandy's chance to unexpectedly win a game was last night (against our best)....They didn't. Beavs have the same, sorta "underdog" situation tonight (against their best). Hope that works out. But if not, I can't think of a better must win scenario for Beavs on Sunday, than to have an absolute bulldog like Raz start, with several very talented arms ready to come in when needed. And best of all, with Goss crowd howling!

Fehmel had some good outings earlier in the year. I've been waiting to see when he'd get back in the rotation again, and while I understood the need to get Razz ready for the regionals, I wished they would have put Fehmel in once or twice to get him back for the regionals as well. Either way, we've shown that we can win. Trust the Beaver defense and pray the bats come alive again tonight!

Bryce could be very effective.... IF his psyche is all good... versus a power team. Vandy feasts on the hard stuff. If Bryce pitches "backward", can get some calls on the black, and stay ahead his fastball is much more effective and he can keep it in on the hands. I think he can keep Vandy at 3-5 runs. But, that was the Bryce getting regular work. Hopefully he was a little fatigued and is ready to step in and be the guy he was last year.
Vandy will put the ball in play, but our offense is the big question... in that, is Wright really all they say? Can he pitch in the cold/wet conditions? And if so can our hitters make him pay for mistakes. I see this being a game like last night, someone is putting up more than 5 runs so the team that is the threat 1-9 wins.
