Vandy reliever Snider shut us down in the 7th. Sinker ball at 93 mph is sick.Jake just hit 94 in the 8th,I feel better.

Watching this game it dawned on me how much our eye popping pitching numbers are a direct result of our insanely good defense. The one misplayed ball by Donohue in the second cost Jake two or three runs. Without that, we are talking about one run allowed again. It's been like that all season. Not just the absence of errors, but running down balls in the outfield that would be hits, blocking balls in the dirt that would have advanced a runner into scoring position, defender positioning before the pitch is even thrown is always correct for the hitter and situation. It's an absolute marvel.

Proof great Pitching beats good hitting. In fairness to the team Kuan and Cary in Center is by far our best D Team. Without the miss-played Ball in in Left we win this game quite easily. Now Sat. Night. Give Luke the Ball an we have a ++ chance to be in Omaha.
