Good for him, and us. When we signed him I really thought we might be lucky to get a couple of good serviceable years out of him. He's been much better. I have no idea what to say about all of the theories about attitude. He's always struck me as quiet and not super expressive. Some kids are like that. He's also probably all of 20 years old. Plenty of time to mature and grow. Wish him the best!

Personally, I think this is great news, he will mature more over then next two years than we can believe, I then think he has a shot at the NBA, and be a legitimate contender. I don't buy the attitude stuff, sour grapes to me.....could be an issue but growing up a bit more will be a great thing for him and the team.....

Its the only "news"... the "good" or "bad" will eventually play out.
But, it was the entirely correct call! Drew is not NBA ready and can only help himself I'd be shows physical and mental growth.
He's a Beaver... fully embraced... but, he needs to show some positive leadership.

Drews? I knew about Drew Eubanks but who are the other Drews to whom you refer?

If all of them stay healthy and continue to improve, our front court could be difficult for a lot of teams to deal with.

I think this is great news for both Drew and the Beavers. Definitely the best decision for him. Living in Ohio, I don't get to games but I never really noticed a bad attitude on Drew's part on the floor during games that I caught on TV (which were a large majority of the games). Granted I didn't get to see how he acted during timeouts and on the bench. Last year was a trying season for everyone involved, and if there were attitude problems on his part, I'm willing to basically give him a pass. I also thought Drew got a bad rap on this board during this whole process. Why shouldn't he have aspirations of going pro and determine what he needs to make that dream a reality? And what was he supposed to say, "Yeah, I know most people don't think I'm ready to go pro or that I'll ever make it in the NBA. and they're probably right"?
I'm excited to see Drew back and like the team's prospects for next year. If they keep pick up McIntosh, I'd like them even more.

Common sense prevails! And in his defense, I imagine that's a hard decision for a kid to make if you have people in your ear telling you that you're NBA ready despite plenty of evidence to the contrary. There's a long list of guys who ignored that feedback, declared early and didn't get picked.
On the attitude stuff - It's interesting to see the wide span in opinions. A few people that think his attitude is absolutely a problem and others who haven't noticed a thing.
But I will say this - years ago I used to play with a guy, who from a pure body language standpoint & from a distance, you'd think he was the worst teammate on the planet. In reality, he was anything but that - was a great guy, good teammate on and off the field, harder on himself than anyone else- and I just don't think he even realized back then how he sometimes came off to others. Maybe that's the case, maybe not. Just thinking out loud so to speak...
