OSU is near to bottom of the p12 in HRs.
I say 'who cares'! Nobody hits HRs in Omaha. This is gonna work in our favor!
Oh yeah, and we are 39-4!
Lousville hits homeruns and Brendan McKay in particular hits them at a frightening pace McKay now has 15 home runs and 39 RBIs this season. Oh yeah he throws too and has a sub 2 ERA like some other people we know. I wouldn't mind if the beavs continued to pick up the HR pace. KJ, Gr1, Gr2, Jack Anderson and Adley Rutchsman have the power. Just need to get in a friendly yard!

The two last night were actually impressive given the weather.

Larnach does, which is why it's weird that he only has one this year.

Just hasn't come into form. I don't think he's seeing the ball. He'll miss a fastball down and in by 8 inches. Not like a typical lefty. Larnach has by far the most power in this bat on the team, significantly more than KJ. Larnach has just got to get locked on

TCU has a man-child righty that is 6'4" 245lb. and has tremendous bat speed. That guy can hit it out in Omaha no problem, but lots of other teams power hitters will have trouble. I'd rather rely on pitching, defense and manufacturing runs in Omaha (If OSU gts there) than playing for the 3 run homer.

After seeing the laser shot that Larnach pulled to right down in Surprise, I too am pretty shocked that has been his only one.

Louisville has always had a strong offense. But they haven't always made it to Omaha. All it takes is for another team to catch lightning in a bottle and take them down. Michigan did it to Vandy in 2007. Kent State to hole in 2012. Didn't Stony Brook take out LSU that year as well? Good pitching will negate those HR's. Louisville can be beat, so can the powder blue boys. Put Stanford or UCLA up against Louisville or UNC.....I'd take the Pac winning in a three game series any day.

The one thing I have made statements in the past about is our team home run potential. I think that is now being realized - look for more long balls, more consistently, IMO.

We're just savin' 'em up for the right time when we really need them.

Humid? Balls don't fly in cold damp air my friend. Not true. That's a common misconception. See here. I agree, that' why LSU hits a lot of homeruns, Miss St. Etc. It's air temperature (slower moving air molecules) and elevation (paragraph one) in the Willamette Valley. Funny thing about humidity is it is measure in Relative Humidity. A relationship of air pressure to water or ratio, stated in percentage of dew point for the given air temperature.
And often we are beyond the gas state of humidity to the reality of liquid sunshine. Not on the chart.
