Can someone give me an official rundown of the derogatory terms we use towards other schools?
Oregon - is it Hole, Spewgene, Ucks, WhOregon? Are any acceptable?
Washington - I think it's the fuskies, but I could be wrong
UCLA - 'Ruins or fUCLA?
USC - Toejams, some sort of condom slang, U$C?
Wazzu - They're just Wazzu, right? Like, that's insulting enough.
The rest of the conference doesn't seem to generate much hate on an institutional level, but there is a borderline unhealthy obsession with a few individual coaches on this board. The ol' ASU coach was not well liked at all, apparently the Utah 3rd base coach is now on our list of people to kill, and Meggs probably has an armed guard outside his house 24/7.

You have most of my favs already. The old ASU coach was respected, and liked by many of us. Pat Murphy (Murph) fought for our inclusion in the 2007 Field of 64, and for that i am forever in his debt. There was a dust up with his players at Goss once, but he was a great coach and beating ASU was never an easy task. USC also known as the University of Spoiled Children. The Stanford tree is one of the most bizarre mascots ever. Officially it is the band's mascot, and their band has a reputation for being jerks. Meggs is safe until next season. I can't wait to ride his ass when they show up at Goss. |

My favorite quote (unfortunately I don't recall who said it) showing how much some Beaver fans dislike tsdtr [another appellation - "the school down the road"] back on Pure-Orange was along the lines of "if the 'ucks were playing <insert appropriate US opposing nation/group of Middle Eastern origin here>, I would be off turban shopping!" :-). Not very politically correct necessarily, and verges into serious territory (especially in this day and age), but I greatly enjoyed the degree of hate this poster exhibited with that view point. I don't actively hate any other Pac-12 school (OK, other than the 'ucks, but that is required as a 2nd generation Beaver). I just cannot root for them. I am always rooting against them (when they play the Beavers), and it makes for a simpler world to simply carry that forward into the post-season. I root for outcomes favorable to the Beavers, unless, again, it involves the 'ucks, at which point I have no sympathy for the benefits the 'ucks winning might provide the Beavers, since some how the zeros (another 'uck reference) will screw it up for us.
