Read on Pure Orange that Ionescu is visiting OSU this weekend. Couldn't open the stupid post on PO so did a Google search for it and read some on a duck board. Here's what I read that bothered me; apparently someone with contacts with "inner OSU basketball" says that OSU is going to have a hard time keeping Rueck. Also, supposedly several other much higher profile programs with more money are going after him. I don't doubt this is true but I always thought he lived OSU and this is his dream job. I sure hope this is all big duck honk because I love what Tueck has done at OSU and I believe he will build a monster as long as he's allowed the resources.
Go BEAVS!!

I, too, believe it is just someone talking out their a$$ in an attempt to discourage the young lady from signing with OSU. Maybe I am seeing this with orange colored glasses on, but I don't see Mr. Rueck as one to chase the big dollars or the Stanford/UConn/Tennessee type programs. I think he will be content to build a national program at OSU....at least I hope so.

This is the guy that has been telling our AD, "Hire coaches that understand why OSU is a special place."

Any word on our chances for Ionescu? I'm guessing by the lack of responses to your question, the answer is 'no word yet'. The only thing I've seen, which I'm sure you have too, is that she is waiting until spring to make her decision.
In the meantime, as fans, let's show her why she should choose Oregon State and show up in droves for the games. See everyone tomorrow.

Yes, we'll need the crowd tomorrow. Idaho is not the pushover they have been in the past. Be there, be loud and cheer on the Beavs!

UO offered her brother Eddie a walk-on their men's team in October. “I’m still in shock,” Eddy said. “I’m just so happy. I can’t put it into words. My dream, as a kid, was playing Div. I basketball. All the hard work has paid off.” Wow, looks like UO will do anything to try to compete with OSU WBBall.

Sabrina Ionescu at Gill for Oregon State vs Stanford. I don't think I'd want to tangle with Mr Ionescu.

It appears she attended both in-state games last Sunday. Let's hope watching a ranked home team win along with 4300 others at Gill was more impressive than watching an unranked home team win along with 1700 others at MKA.

I always go by the philosophy, taking your visits is a good thing, it's part of the process. But, if any recruit is seriously attracted to that program, well no great loss.

Yes she visited the ducks vs the Bears game, and this picture was taken just after the game, but I have another link for you just below this post.

Games are obviously won on the court, but before that it starts in practice, and before that it starts in recruiting. Anybody notice where Evina Westbrook plays? I as a fan will not interject myself in recruiting, but linking internet images and websites is perfectly acceptable, contact with potential recruits is not. I am sure Coaches Rueck, Chatterton, Ely, and Mandy Close (Program Recruiting Coordinator) and Liz Clark (Director of Player Personnel) and Sharon Rissmiller (Director of Operations) are as good or better than anyone else in evaluating players and reaching out and making the case for Oregon State. One other thing, before you click the link. As far as up fans thinking Kelly Graves has the beginnings of a recruiting juggernaut, take a look at the roster for the West team of the 2016 McDonalds All America All Star game. Jeannie Boehm-----------Harvard DiJonal Carrington-------Stanford Chassity Carteer---------Vanderbilt Lauren Cox---------------Baylor Nadia Fingall-------------Stanford Sabrina Ionescu---------undeclared Tori McCoy---------------Ohio State Leaonnna Odom---------Duke Kylee Shook-------------Louisville
Destiny Slocum---------Maryland Anna Wilson-------------Stanford Jackie Young------------Notre Dame
2017 recruit rankings.

I saw that picture on Her Twitter. I wonder if that contact is illegal? I think with Basketball it takes a couple recruiting classes. My opinion is He has a good class. They apparently sent a few Gals packing. Seems How they operate. I also think they might have the edge with this particular Player. Her Brother's situation doesn't help.
