This just in: University of Oregon officials have reached out to Geno Auriemma to see if he would be interested in coaching their women's basketball team. I wouldn't put it past them AT ALL. Mark Campbell is taking credit for OSU clinching a share of the conference championship for a 3rd straight season. He is assured of a job at ūō as long as OSU keeps winning championships.

Competitive, ugly game - but ugly win is still a good win, and coupled with a tsdtr loss makes it even better....
39 of 50 OSU points came from seniors.
Interesting opening few minutes - seemed like we were trying to get Gabby established, which was somewhat surprising given her shooting percentages. That said, she hit a big "bank is open" three towards the end.
And the crowd must have scared the bigs - they were playing a bit hesitant and tight - some of the out of character play might have been the Stanford D, but lots of players playing tight, picking up dribbles, not acting instinctively, disrupting the flow.....
I was getting worried our end of quarter play calling was going to come back to haunt us - at the end of the first we had 6 seconds to set up a better play than the desperation heave we put up, especially with the stoppage of play "timeout" we had while the refs sorted out a shot clock violation. And right before the half we could have been more judicious in the use of Kat's deliberate foul and left less time for them to work with.....
Teams are really keying on Sydney, but none of the other guards we put out there made them pay for that strategy. Reminds me of how teams played GP back in the day. But just like GP, Sydney is such a great player that we are still able to free her up enough to positively influence the game's outcome (until I fear, that tournament game where we aren't able to.....)
While I completely acknowledge what Kelsey Plum has done these years is incredible, some days I wish there wasn't that distraction, because lost in the noise of Jackie Stiles record getting broken soon by Plum is wider exposure to the accomplishments of one of the greatest Pac-12 women's basketball players ever to put on a Beaver uniform. Yes the stats are special (3 pointers, assists, defensive rebounds, scoring), but the leadership, class and example has just been out of this world. The end of game interview on TV showed off some of that. Can't believe she only has 3 more games at Gill.....
Go Beavs!
