When you qualify it as his first year...sure. His stats were similar in terms of receptions, yards per reception, and touchdowns to Kevin Cummings. Nothing against Kevin Cummings, who was a decent player and by all accounts a good representative of Beaver Nation, but he was pretty much the definition of a replacement level player.
It's still possible that Seth Collins grows into the position and continues to improve, but he was way more of a weapon as a QB than he was as a WR. After he ran for 3 TDs out of the wildcat vs. Oregon in 2015, it's still a mystery to me why he only got 1-2 carries a game in 2016.....most of those on fly sweeps.

That's kind of an unfair comparison, as Cummings actually had a competent passer in a competent passing offense. Collins spent the majority of his season catching passes from a guy who was a worse QB than he was.
