no Jay Bird this year. John Warren, Parker's sidekick on the Joe Beaver show will do the games until Mike is done with basketball. I will miss Jay going crazy over a screaming baby Damn! I'm not personally familiar with John Warren, but he's going to have some VERY tough shoes to fill. Beaver fans have come to love Jay, and his unique play by play style over the years. That said, I'm willing to give this 'John' fellow a fair chance. We're travelling to Surprise (slow, relaxed route, beginning Feb. 16) for an arrival before games of 5 and 6 of the season. I'll be streaming games 1-4 as we travel. Go Beavs! Jon has done high school play by play for probably better than 20 years. Football mainly. He started in Portland (Metro league I think) then in Corvallis area since. I'm not sure if he did basketball or baseball. Not many HS teams have a broadcast for baseball so he likely does not have baseball experience. So expect the basics to be nailed down. But nuances may be difficult to convey |

All of a sudden I remember all of a sudden being used a lot. That was somebody beside Jay. After Kip Carlson era. Somebody like Dwight Jaynes but it wasn't him. Dang it I can't pull the name all the sudden it was Todd Stansfield |

John Warren also does the news/in depth sports and weather on KLOO 1340 A.M. weekdays from 6 until 9 in the morning . MB.
