The beach volleyball team isn't happy.... Title IX disgusting but not surprising for an institution who see themselves as above the law. My son lived just down the road from the park they referenced and I wouldn’t go there without packing an iron. Drug addicts, homeless, garbage and drug paraphernalia. |

It's really sad for these women. They see teams absolutely dripping with $ and they are not even given table scraps.
For contrast, the MBB team has 6 full time coaches + 2 GAs for 17 players on the roster.

Fun fact: Aristotle was a Macedonian. In Athens, Macedonians, like Aristotle, could not own property and were basically second-class citizens. Rather than adopt the garb of the bigoted Athenians, Aristotle continued to wear Macedonian clothes to stand apart from the Athenians. Aristotle lived in Athens for 23-25 years before moving to Macedonia to teach 13-year-old Alexander the Great. In exchange for Aristotle agreeing to teach Alexander the Great, Philip II (Alexander the Great's father) promised to build Aristotle's hometown of Stageira, which Philip II had earlier razed and to repopulate with exiles and freed slaves. Aristotle ceased teaching Alexander the Great after three or four years and returned to Athens 2-4 years later. Aristotle lived in Athens for a final 14 years again wearing Macedonian garb. A couple of months after Alexander the Great died, there was a wave of anti-Macedonian sentiment, so Aristotle left to live with his mother's family in Chalcis, dying there less than 10 months later. |
