Does anyone else think of Freddie Mercury when you see Fallah? I see a younger Ortiz in his play.

I can get excited. No problem. In fact, I'd rather be thinking that we'll continue this success and continue to grow and improve than to think negatively about the rest of the season.
A sport fan's cliche is "There's always next year." This is our next year and it is beginning the way we'd like it to. If you can't get a little excited about that then maybe you should lay off the sports. I mean what's the point otherwise?
After 55 years and seven World Series losses, including five to the Yankees (and two 4-3 series losses) 1955 was finally "Next Year" for the Brooklyn Dodgers. After 108 years and seven World Series losses, including the 4-3 Billy Goat loss to the Tigers, 2016 was finally "Next Year" for the Chicago Cubs. This year could be "Next Year" for Oregon State. Stranger things have happened. My "Next Year" for the Beavs has a much lower hurdle. lol

Does anyone else think of Freddie Mercury when you see Fallah? I see a younger Ortiz in his play. Better (fewer?) teeth. Faster than Ortiz, but a little smaller. Still, he's a man. Big upper body, solid base. Can go left and right. I really enjoy watching this team, doesn't matter who they play.

I just can't get excited beating western oregon. It's like a high school varsity team playing the freshmen. Last year we beat Linfield by 36. Don't remember all the excitement for that win. Sorry for being a downer but come on western oregon? You forgot to add, "...AND GET OFF MY LAWN!"

Think my favorite play of the night might have been the first score. Fallah seals his guy, quick spin, easy dunk. Was smooth. Rataj was everywhere - 13 pts 8 reb, 3 ast 5 steals 2 blocks in 23 minutes. Was pretty impressed with Sy, he was a little quiet in the first couple games and struggled from 3. Marsh was a little more athletic than I realized in terms of running the floor on a couple plays. Fullerton State next up on Friday. The lost to Grand Canyon by 10, Stanford by 17 and play Colorado tonight. Lost to Stanford by 27 not 17. Lost to Colorado last night by 30. Don’t need Beavs to win by 30, but it will be a bit disheartening if game goes down to the wire.
