Wouldn't we rather have Reno? Aren't reno and lv tied together? No, i don't think so. The NV schools have actually been in different conferences, more than the same conference, over their existence.....is my understanding

Team #8 coming from either Conference USA or the Sun Belt. Lovely. Wouldn't we rather have Reno? That would be epic if Pac says F you then we'll take Reno State

This whole thing is a disaster. Not sure I would go that far...Twists and turns for sure. but we only need 1 more team for FB Sure, it's hyperbole I guess, but IF the remaining MW programs stay together, what's our option? UTEP? Doing this piecemeal seems to have bitten us in the ass. They should have extended guaranteed invites to the MW4 who did convert, and then first come first served invites to some of the rest. Hawai'i in football and Gonzaga in non football would have been great.

Those "financial incentives" must be pretty lucrative especially in UNLV's case for them to stay in the picked-apart Mountain West conference and promises of future teams joining to keep the conference alive and relevant ...

Wondering how well that payout to 2 teams sits with the remaining MWC schools. Feels like we can pick off one more?

When this is all done whoever did the negotiating on our behalf should be canned. You mean the people who closed on the top 5 teams in our main competition's conference, but not the 6th? Makes sense to me.

Twatter says 30m. I'm guessing UNR, SJSU, Wyoming, NM, and Hawaii can't be to pleased by this. Which one is pissed off enough to jump ship to the better conference ?

If unlv got 30 mil to stay couldn't we bleed the mwc dry by keep asking teams to join us?

Wouldn't we rather have Reno? Aren't reno and lv tied together? They are in the sense that there is one Board for both schools, like it used to be in Oregon.
